Chapter 13

Eda has all the ingredients she needs to make a potion for the woman but as soon as she is about to begin brewing the potion, Lilith yelled at her from the living room.

"Edalyn, don't make that potion!!"

"What!! Why!!"

"She is a vampire!! That's why"

Eda came to the living room having heard that the injured person was a vampire. Eda stopped and looked at the injured vampire, Eda thought something weird was happening in front of her but she just couldn't grasp what. She continued to stare at the injuries when it finally clicked, the vampire wasn't regenerating, her injuries weren't closing or showing signs of closing. Eda knew that the only moment a vampire's regenerative abilities didn't kick in was when they were hit by light magic and when other vampires attacked them. Eda headed back to the kitchen.

"Where are you going, Edalyn?"

"Where else? To the kitchen to brew a potion"

"Huh!? Why would you do that!? She is a vampire, she..."

"A vampire that was attacked by another vampire," Eda said, cutting off Lilith.

"What? Edalyn, on what are you basing that she was attacked by a vampire?"

"Look at her injuries, miss know it all"

Lilith didn't understand her sister but nonetheless, she looked at them. Lilith wanted to prove her sister wrong, she was just waiting for her injuries to begin healing. That when she saw what her sister was basing her statement. Her wounds weren't healing, if anything they were getting worse. The vampire being hit by light magic would cause the same effect but there would be a scent of burnt flesh and there was no such scent. So if there was no scent of burnt flesh and the vampire isn't healing it means that another vampire attacked her. Vampire attacking another vampire can only mean that one of those vampires has turned traitor and by the orders of Emperor Belos, any traitorous vampire was to be attended off and welcome.

"I hate you, you know that right?"

"Oh, come on, I know you love me" Eda replied in a mocking tone.

"Amity, please continue to apply healing magic. She has turned from a potential enemy to welcome guest"

"What do you mean, Lilith?"

"Just do it, please"

Amity didn't ask anymore and went to cast the spell, Luz looked at Willow with her look and asked if she knew why Lilith change the attitude towards this vampire. Of course, Willow had no idea why but was curious nonetheless.

"Lilith is there anything we can help out with?"

"Yes, you and Luz can go and hunt an animal. This will help her heal her wound faster"

"Okay, come on Willow, I will teach you the rope... and ensure that you don't bonkers at the same time"

"Luz, do know this, if Willow comes back with a single scratch I will and I can't stress this enough, I will stake you," Boscha said from the kitchen.

"Got it," Said Luz nervously.

Luz and Willow ran towards the forest to hunt an animal. Boscha helped Eda in the brewing of the potion, while Boscha didn't know what kind of potion Eda was making, she knew that Eda was good. Eda made it seem like brewing potions is easy and not complicated when in reality it is so complicated and fragile thing to do. If you added too much of something who knows what could happen, yet here she was, seeing a witch make a potion even quicker than her teacher at Hexside.
