Chapter 4

It has been an hour and Luz is now on the sofa waiting for Eda to come to the living room. Eda felt that it was wrong, to have this conversation without Luz present, she grabbed the crystal and walked towards the living room. Eda sat down next to Luz and wrapped her arms around her.

"Okay, Lilith what can you tell me about this vampires report?"

"Well, until now there have been 5... 6 including Luz, of people transforming into vampires"

"What happened to others?" Eda said, stroking Luz's hair. Luz leans against Eda and closes her eyes.

"Let's just say that it didn't end like Luz's transformation"

"I see, how many?"

"Sorry?"

"How many have been killed as the results of these new vampires being transformed?" Eda was trying her best to stay calm.

"Right now, we know of 20. 10 alone were done when the vampires first transformed"

Luz started to cry, she was trying her best to think all this was a bad dream, that at any moment she will wake up and everything will be alright. But that hope vanished as she realized that this was reality, she was a vampire now, she no longer was a human. Eda heard the sobbing, she put down the crystal and started to comfort Luz. Lilith could see this happening and was surprised by this act of kindness coming from her sister.

Is my sister comforting someone? Is this my real sister? She would never do this, hell she barely did this for me when we were young. I guess she cares a lot for Luz, just like I care for Amity.

"Lilith, is there a way to undo the transformation?" Eda's voice sounded desperate.

"No, and if there is, we don't know about it"

"Okay, can you hang up, I'm kinda busy right now" Eda's voice carried a sadness.

"Of course, be careful and I hope you can help Luz. Goodnight Edalyn"

The crystal returns to being a normal crystal and Luz started to cry harder. Eda felt so pathetic and insignificant right now, one of the few people who has shown her affection and composition was in pain and she couldn't do a damn thing other than comfort her. King got up from the sofa and started to hug Luz. Luz grabs King and hugs him as Eda hugs her. It was now 4 a.m. and Eda was almost falling asleep, King was long asleep, but Eda couldn't fall asleep. She needed to be with Luz, at least until Luz started to fall asleep.

"Thank you, Eda, for being with me right now but you should sleep. Don't worry about me I will try to fall asleep in my room, just before I cover the windows" Luz said standing up.

"Are you sure? I can stay until you fall asleep if you want"

"Yes, I'm sure. Now go and sleep"

Eda stroke Luz's hair one last time before going up the stairs and into her room, Luz grabbed King and put him on the sofa cover him with a blanket. She went into her room and saw the window and she saw glimpses of the sun, the sunlight hit her face and it hurt her Luz. She grabbed a carpet off the floor and tape it to the wall to cover the window up, so no sunlight could enter. As soon as Luz was sure she wouldn't die because of sunlight, she laid down and tried to fall asleep but to no avail, she simply couldn't, so she decided to look up to the ceiling and think about the current situation.

Okay, I am now a vampire, a vampire that is exactly like the legends and story in my world. Maybe this isn't so bad, maybe we will find the cure and cure me. Yes, yes that is, let's not be negative about the situation, we have been in worse and we always come out at the top. I'm sure everything will be fine, I will return to being a human and everything will go back to normal.

As she laid there, she closed her eyes and let her mind wander, she fell into a state of unconsciousness, yet not fully unconscious. The next thing she remembers is Eda calling her from the door.

-------Moment before-------

Eda had woken up and saw that she had been sleeping for 4 hours. As she woke up, she went to Luz's room just to see her laying there and not moving, she knew that vampires don't require to sleep, so Eda concluded that Luz was just spacing out at levels she has never seen before. She decided it best to inform principal Bump about this and ask for Luz to be exempt from class. She went downstairs and grabbed her staff and flew to school, even if she doesn't like the school she cares for Luz and this is the best thing for Luz right now.

Eda reached the school and saw that classes hadn't started, which was good news for her it will mean that Luz wouldn't leave out. Eda went to the principal room and open the door.

"Hey, principal Bump," Eda said with an awkward tone of voice

"Edalyn, to what do I owe the pleasure of this unexpected visit"

"Don't worry, I didn't come to cause trouble. This visit is to discuss Luz"

"Well, I don't know what to say for her, other than she has become a great student, even if her situation about magic is not the best, she has made a fantastic process and..."

"She will not be coming to school for a while" Eda cut Principal Bump.

"What? Why?"

"She was attacked by a creature and..."

"Was she attacked by a vampire?"Principal Bump cut Eda.

"How... how do you know that?"

"We were going to inform today the students that classes were going to end early from today on since the vampire's attack have escalated"

"I see, but yes she was bitten by a vampire and has transformed into one"

"I see, I will see that all her classwork and homework are delivered to her. Also, this might help you" Principal Bump said while reaching and giving Eda a book.

Eda took the book and saw it is an all book about vampires, it had everything witches know about them. "Thank you, I will be leaving. Luz shouldn't be alone, thank you Principal Bump" Eda said walking away.

"You are welcome, take care of Luz"

Eda was walking away but on the way, she bumped into someone. Eda apologizes and sees the person who she bumps into, to her disbelieved it was none other than Lilith.
