Vampyrism

Chapter 2

Amity opened her eyes and looked at Luz shocked, she put Luz's hand on her legs and started to rub them. I now know why she hesitated to ask, the topic of vampires have always been off-limits to everyone because of the incident.

"Okay Luz, what about vampires are you curious about?"

"As to why no one talks about them? I have been here in the Boiling Isles for a while and have yet to see one, what happened to them?"

"The main reason no one talks about vampires is that what happened between witches and vampires"

"You mean like a fight? Or something worse?"

"A war happened, many witches died, and far too little vampires died"

"Oh! I see, no wonder no one talks about them but are they gone, or are they still hiding?"

"We don't know, we are just told when encountering a vampire to use light magic and to run away, never stay and fight"

"I see" Luz hugs Amity. "Thank you Amity, with this my curiosity is satisfied"

"Y-y-you are welcome, Luz" Amity hug back in order to hide her embarrassment and blush

After getting an answer, Luz and Amity went back to read and act out Azura. Luz did voices for all the characters and Amity loved to see and hear her as she acted in each part of the book. This went on for a long time until it was night time. Luz and Amity said their goodbyes and were very excited for the next time to get together to read and talk about Azura. As Luz was walking home, she heard something in the forest, she thought nothing of it since it was normal to hear the creature of the night get ready to live their lives, and before could even notice she blackout.

"Hey, King have you seen Luz, is getting late and it looks like it going to rain," Eda said looking at the sky

"No, I haven't, She told me she was going to go to the library"

"Ah, then maybe she is with Amity, most likely they are caught up talk about that book series"

3 hours went by and Eda was now getting worried something had happened to Luz, but she has faith in the kid. 30 minutes went by and by now it was raining, now she is going back and forth in the living room, waiting for Luz to come back, but now she is worried sick.

Maybe the kid is with Amity and went together somewhere they can wait out the rain, but Amity' house for what I recall is far away. Maybe they went to Lilith place, it is closer and Lilith is Amity's mentor, I will give her a call, maybe Luz is there and there is nothing to worry about.

Eda reaches out for her crystal ball and calls Lilith. Lilith answers quickly. "Edalyn, do you have any idea what time it is right now?" Lilith look like she just wakes up

"Sorry, sis, I just wanted to know if maybe Luz was there" Eda was trying to hide her worry in her voice and face

"No, she isn't, for what Amity told me when she came here, they ended as soon as they saw it was a night out"

"How long ago would that have been?"

"I don't know... maybe about 3 hours ago, why?"

Eda didn't say goodbye, she just grabs her staff and ran outside in search of Luz. Eda was so worried for Luz she forgot that it was raining outside and it was burning her skin. Okay, Okay calm down Edalyn you have to find Luz as soon as possible, Oh Titan, but I don't know where to look or... Eda though cut short when she saw Luz in the forest laid down. Eda quickly descended where Luz was and grabbed her and went to the owl house as quickly as she could.

"Eda is Luz okay!?" King came screaming having seen Eda carrying Luz in the house

"I don't know King, but she was under the rain for 30 minutes and she wasn't hurt or wounded. Something has happened to Luz"
