Chapter 43

---Luz's Pov---

It is the last day of the week and I have decided to go to meet Salazar's agent. I don't know if I will be able to fight him or her, I could barely do anything in front of Salazar last time and if it wasn't for Vladimir Scarlett might have been taken. I can't risk Scarlett coming with me and if she knew I was meeting Salazar's agent she will try to come along and Vladimir will stop me. I would be alone... but I have to, he threatened me, and without clear context on what, I cannot roll the dice on that bet, I really don't know what he could do.

My biggest problem is Amity, I cannot lie to Amity and I will have to do just that in order to keep her safe, I just hope to be able to do so. I open the coffin once I hear a knocking on it.

"You are getting comfortable with me being here meanwhile you are changing"

Amity throws a towel at me. "Stop staring and go and take a shower"

"I will, I just wanted to take in the beautiful sight"

"Luz"

"I'm going, I'm going"

I get out of the coffin and go to the showers and as I get in Amity gets in to brush her hair. I know this is a good opportunity to try to lie to her meanwhile she can't see my face.

"Amity, I have to go somewhere before nighttime, would you be fine if I go?"

"Luz, tonight is a blood moon and you heard what Vladimir said, your evil version is going to surface tonight"

"It is very important"

"Will you do something dangerous?"

"No, I won't"

I can see that Amity has moved and is now in front of the shower curtain but I know she won't pull it. I can see that she tries to go for it but she is too embarrassed to do so.

"Luz Noceda, if I didn't know you, I will believe you are lying to me"

"I'm not lying, if it makes you feel better I will go with Vladimir"

"..."

"Please believe me"

"Fine, but do know if I find out that you lie to me, you are in big trouble"

"Yes, mi luna"

Amity leaves the bathroom and I can breathe in, lying to Amity is like lying to mami. I take a shower and change once done. I go downstairs and see Vladimir and Amity together, this can't be good.

"Hey Vladimir, Amity"

"I heard that you wanted me to accompany you somewhere," Vladimir said.

"Yeah, I..."

"Amity, could you give us some privacy? I promise no bad is going to happen"

"... Fine, but if Luz get hurt even if I am no match I will kill you"

"Noted"

I watch as Amity goes to me and kisses me on the cheek before going to the kitchen, where the others are.

"Vladimir I..."

"You are going to meet Salazar's agent, correct?"

"... How?"

"Luz, I was in your position once and I know you aren't going to ask me for help"

"I want to try and I need to try this alone"

"Okay, you go and train, you always need to be prepared"

I agreed and went to the basement where I saw the clan training their abilities. I go to a corner and begin to train.
