Fae POV
No, it’s not possible. I tried to blink the nightmare away from my eyes but Leon was still laying in a puddle of his own blood. “Leon, get up! Why are you laying down like your about to die, you idiot! Get up!” I screamed at him but didn’t so much as move. My legs felt like jelly but I forced myself to run to his side, collapsing down beside him as I quickly placed my shaky hands on his bloody, burnt chest.
“Titus, I need you to watch my back while I work on him.” I pleaded with him, trying to keep my emotions in check but he just stared down at Leon who was teeter tottering between life and death.
“Angel, I don’t think-"
“Titus. . please. . help me.” I begged him and he took one glance at my face before sighing and nodding his head. “We don’t have much time before the enemy barges in here to finish him off but I’ll try to buy as much time as I can.”
“Thank you.” I sputtered as I moved my hands around Leon’s body. Here. . no here. I bit down on my quivering lip when I realized that several of his vital organs have been damaged and he was dying faster then I could heal him.
No. Please no.
“Your going to be okay just please, hold on a little longer Leon.” I cried out as my teardrops mixed in with his blood but he wasn’t responding back to me as his face became paler by the second.
“No! No! No!” His whole body was coated in a glowing gold of light but his wounds weren’t closing fast enough. “Why isn’t he healing?!” I screamed at the top of lungs as my rose gold dress soaked up Leon’s blood, staining my dress red.
I squeezed my eyes shut tight, trying to concentrate harder on healing him when I felt a larger hand brush my cheek. My eyes shot open and Leon had a soft smile resting on lips. “It’s nice to know you still care enough to cry for me.” He joked, trying to mask the pain he was in. “But I must look really pathetic in your eyes right now.” He cringed in pain and I knew he was clinging to life by a thread.
“Don’t be ridiculous! You came to rescue me after all awful things I said to you. .” I whimpered, as my tears continued flowing down my cheeks. “None of this would have happened if I just listened to you and stayed on the island.”
Leon’s eyes flung open as he glared up at me, “don’t be stupid. This isn’t your fault. .” his voice was hard but his breathing was ragged and uneven. “If you want to blame someone, blame me.” He faintly whispered and his heart began to slow down with every breath he took. “You need to leave and go with Katakuri and the others before-” blood spewed from his mouth and his wounds gusted back open.
“Stop talking! You need to save your strength!” I cried out, knowing if I stopped healing him even for a second, he’ll die.
Don’t panic and think, Fae. I told myself as I stared down at Leon who was on the verge of passing out from the significant amount of blood he lost. I gritted my teeth together as sweat dripped down my temple.
I have to try it but. . if I fail Leon will surely die but his wounds are to severe for me to continue doing it like this. The only thing I’m doing is just buying him a few more spare moments of life. . I don’t have a choice, I have to do it.
I took my hands off Leon, placing my palms close together as I focused all my healing energy in the center of my palms, draining every ounce of my healing abilities into a small ball of gold light. If I get hurt before I can recuperate. . I won’t be about to heal myself or anyone for that matter. It’s risky but I have to do it. The ball of light dispirited going straight into Leon’s body and instantly all his wounds began to shrink until they were completely closed, leaving nothing more than faint scars.
