Fae POV

"Wake up! Wake up! Rise and shine lazy bones!" Sanosuke shouted at me yanking my covers off my bed. The cold air kissed my skin causing me to shiver and curl into a ball.

"Come on you need to say goodbye to your brother, he's leaving for a few weeks so you need to go say your goodbyes." Sanosuke urged me, pulling at my feet.

"I'm up, I'm up, just give a few minutes." I grumbled still half asleep throwing my pillow at him, making him chuckle.

It took me a few seconds to realize Sanosuke was in my room and the sleepiness vanished in a heart beat. I jump out of bed into Sanosuke arms in a flash giving him a big hug.

I glanced up at him, noticing his dark brown hair has gotten a little longer since the last time I've seen him and his purple periwinkle eyes stared back down at me.

"I've missed you so much! Why haven't you come by to see me? It's been almost three months." I pouted, puffing my cheeks out.

He smiled softly, "I'm sorry Fae, business has been really busy and I just couldn't get away until now." He reassured me, patting my head.

I couldn't help but smile back up at him sweetly, "it's okay, I forgive you just tell me another adventure story and we can call it even." I happily implied, skipping out of the bedroom to say good morning to my brother.

"Amen. . Aren’t you forgetting something?" Sanosuke asked mockingly with one eye closed, making me stop in the door way. I gazed down at myself, realizing I'm still in my green polka-dote PJs.

"Oh, I forgot." I giggled, thunking myself on the head, sticking my tongue out.

He let out a soft chuckle, "make sure it's something comfortable. We have a busy day today." He waved at me, leaving the room to give me privacy.

I went to my closet looking for something comfortable and found a light pink long sleeve sweater with white shorts and I quickly through those on in a hurry, running out of my bedroom to find my big brother.

Leon POV

Sanosuke came out of the house after I finished loading everything onto the small boat and I waited until he got in ear shot before I spoke to him.

"Fae has been depressed lately, make sure to keep a closer eye on her then usual and no more of your silly stories, it's just been making it harder for her to stay on this island." I lectured bluntly with a tad bit of coldness behind it.

"If you just took her with you for once she wouldn't be so hungry to hear every word I have to say about what's going on out there." Sanosuke whispered under his breath knowing very well I heard him.

He cast his eyes onto the ground, avoiding the glare I shot him. I chose to ignore his comment. . for the time being.

“How’d it go with Kaido?” I asked seriously.

“Fine, I guess. He wasn’t to happy to see me in your place but seeing the boxes of ideas he wanted changed his toon pretty fast. I’m pretty sure the alcohol I gifted him with had something to do with it also.” Sanosuke chuckled lightly.

"Good, the man tends to be in a better mood when he’s drunk off his ass. Anyways, I'm going to deliver some rare ingredients to Big Mama. I won't be back for a few weeks. You know the rules, they haven't change. . Just stick to them and I won't have to kill you Sanosuke. Keep. . Her. . Happy.” I didn’t so much as try holding back the hostility in my voice, causing him to sweat.

"I'm sorry Captain. I'll make sure she is safe and the island stays hidden while your gone. I'll do everything in my power to keep her happy." Sanosuke assured me and I could detect the the fear in his voice as he bowed his head.

"Good, that's what I like to here." I grumbled malicly, only to break out in to a smile when I saw Fae running out of the house toward us waving with a big beautiful smile on her face.

"Promise you'll bring back something I never seen before, okay?" Her face lit up with twinkles in her eyes when she reached me.

I chuckled, "of course, since I wont be here for your birthday I'll bring something extra special, okay?" I told her pulling her into a tight hug.

After she pulled away I got into the little boat, rowing to my ship that is a distance away. She clapped her hands together with a smile that reached her eyes.

"Okay, I can't wait for you to come back! Promise you'll come back safe!" She yelled with a serious expression on her face.

"I will, I promise!" I yelled back watching her get smaller and smaller until I couldn't see her small figure any longer.
