Katakuri POV

My eyes slowly grazed across the sea of guest, the beautiful pink and white décor, the delicious desserts that Mama has been looking forward to for months but honestly, I didn’t care about our guest, the fancy desserts or the immaculate gifts they brought.

I want my beautiful wife to be by my side and I want her by my side now. A low growl ignited from my chest when I thought about how hard and excruciating it has been the last four months and I found myself pacing back and forth at the alter as my patience began to wear thin.

“Where is she?” I ranted to myself as I tugged my fingers at the collar of my white suit. It’s so hot in this fabric and what’s worse it’s covering my entire body, “is it getting hot or is it just me?” I asked Oven who watched me like a hawk.

“It’s not hot, Katakuri. . I-I think you just maybe. . nervous.” He spoke cautiously and I shot him an icy glare.

“I don’t get nervous.” I hissed menacingly but I knew he was right. I am nervous.

I continued to glare at my brother but he just let out a sigh, “look, you don’t have to acknowledge it or say anything but I know you well enough to know. . your worried. Your probably asking yourself whether or not if you'll be a good husband or if you can keep her happy or maybe your worried you might hurt her. Katakuri, I’m not trying to claim I know what lays in your heart and I don’t know exactly what’s going through your head but all out honesty, you probably will do half of the things your worried about.”

“Oven, your not helping.” I gave him a murderous glare but he just chuckled, “as much as I hate to admit it, you two are meant for each other. She bright, vibrant, colorful and you… your dark, dull, and colorless.”

My eyes narrowed dangerously and a good amount of our guest grew quiet when my aura darkened. “Oven, I'm only going to warn you this once, if you continue insulting me-”

“I meant that as a compliment." He said seriously, placing his hand on my shoulder. "You both have something that neither have and that’s what makes you two perfect for each other.” His livid eyes never left mine as he dropped his hand off my shoulder when the music started playing. “There’s a lot of love between the two of you so even if you manage to fuck things up. . I know you’ll fix it.”

I could feel the tension that has been weighing me down leave my shoulders and the doubts that were swirling around in my uneasy heart, came to an ease. I needed to hear that and he knew I needed to hear that. I gave him a slight nod of appreciation and in return he gave me a sly smile, “you know, I never imagined I would ever see the day that a woman of all things, would cause you to be drowning in nervousness but I also never imagined seeing you in white, let alone a suit.” Oven teased, trying to hide his smirk but he failed miserably.

“Shut up.” I grumbled, trying to pull myself together but I wasn’t mentally ready when those double doors shot open.

I could feel my eyes widen and I have always been bewitched by her beauty but when my eyes locked on her, my pounding heart intensified rapidly. I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t move, I couldn’t do anything but stare at her and all the men around me seemed to have been the same state I was in.

Her off white mermaid gown flowed elegantly down her beautiful body and she literally took my breath away. Every step she took made my soul dance around in pure bliss and I could tell she was nervous but the moment her eyes locked with mine, I could see the nerves, the fear, and the worry in her eyes melt away.

She walked down the aisle with grace and every step she took towards me, I could have sworn sparkles showered around her. I was spellbound and I couldn’t snap out of it until Oven elbowed me, “breath and bend your knees before you pass out, Katakuri.” He whispered next to me and I did exactly that when she stood in front of me as her beautiful grey eyes sparkled brightly up at me.

All eyes were on us as the priest began to speak but I truly was struggling on listening to him and I was utterly terrified when it came time to place the ring on her finger.

My fingers shook when I reminded myself to be cautious of my strength as she placed her small hand in mine. Be gentle. I told myself repeatedly but I couldn’t concentrate.

“Katakuri.” Her soft voice reached my ears and my eyes gazed into hers as she smiled tenderly up at me, “I’m not going to break, I promise.” She squeezed my hand and I found myself, brushing my thumb over her soft knuckles as I slowly slid the ring on her finger.

I have been longing to touch her again and when the priest said ‘you may now kiss the bride,’ I didn’t hesitate on wrapping my arm around her and lifting her up in the air close to me. My scarf was still covering the bottom half of my face as she placed her small hands on my cheeks.

“You look so beautiful.” I whispered to her as she tilted her head, blocking everyone’s view. “And you look very handsome.” She whispered back in a playful manner, “you can kiss me when we are alone if you like and for now I’ll just plant a kiss on your forehead.” She told me, leaning in to kiss my forehead but I pulled my scarf down just enough for her to see me and her eyes widen in shock and she quickly shielded me with her body.

“I’ve been patient for four long months and I’m not waiting another second to kiss my wife.” I smiled lovingly at her as my lips locked on hers. I kissed her hard, eagerly, and passionately and the whole island roared with cheers as I poured four months worth of my love into this one kiss.

Oven POV

Fae laughed with joy as my sisters surrounded her with hugs, kisses, and laughter and she seemed so happy.

“It’s hard isn’t it.” Leon muttered next to me as he sipped on a glass of red wine. “Knowing that no matter how hard you love or how hard you try… she’ll only ever love him.” He hid his pain well but I knew how much it stung to see someone you love, happy with someone that wasn’t you.

I nodded my head, “I am excited for him… almost as much as I am sad for me.” I told the truth while different emotions swirled around in my heart but I forced my pain down and lifted my happiness up for them.

Leon gulped down the rest of his red wine, “I wish I could say the same about the excitement but all I can relate to is the sadness.” His eyes were hollow as he glanced down into his empty glass, “have you noticed the ring on her finger." He whispered, staring directly at Fae’s left hand.

I narrowed my eyes, "I have."

The ring on Fae’s finger isn't just any ring. It's a warning to who ever gazes apon her.

"That sly bastard put his symbol on her without her realizing it." Leon's smile curled up into an evil smirk.

"Hmph." He wants everyone to know she belongs to him and hell, I would have done the exact same thing.

"I’m heading out tonight.”

I almost gave myself whiplash when I jerked my head up towards him, “your not going to say goodbye to your sister, are you?”

His eyes were now focused only on Fae who was still smiling ear to ear with my family, “she’s happy and I don’t want to spoil her day besides, I’ve never been good with goodbyes.” That time he didn't try to hide his pain in his voice.

“What are you planning on doing when you leave?” I asked, already knowing the answer. “Well, first I’m going to drowned my sorrows with my favorite bottle of red wine and then when I’m done with my pity party, I’ll do my best to put all the broken pieces back together. . My crew needs me and I’ve neglected my duties long enough aside from all that, Fae’s biggest threat is still out there.”

I could feel the blood lust radiating off of him in waves of rage. “Your referring to Dr. H?”

“I am, that snake managed to escape during the chaos and as long as he’s out there. . she’ll be in even more danger then she already is.” Leon began to walk away during mid-sentence. “I’ll probably see you again one day but until then, watch over my little sister for me.” He waved the back of his hand to me before disappearing into a cloud of ash.
