Fae POV

“Whew! I was lucky I was able to save my dessert in time.” I hummed with joy putting the last finishing touches on my dessert before wiping my forehead with the back of my forearm. Azure was resting on top of my head and I placed a small piece of fluffy, chocolatey, goodness into his mouth and he ate it without hesitation.

~Yummy. . Yummy. .~

“I’m glad you think so.” I scratched the back of his wing close to where his left ear was as he rumbled lightly against my hand. I glanced over at Katakuri to see if he wanted a piece of my dessert but he seemed to be deep in thought.

I was happy to find out he liked me the same way I liked him but I could see worry lingering in his eyes. Whatever is troubling his mind, I hope his willing to share his thoughts with me now that we are a couple.

Oh my gosh! Are we a couple now?! I placed my hands on my burning cheeks. I did agree to be with him and we did kiss a few times. I could feel my face burning even hotter.

Kissing is nothing like the books describe. You don’t feel or hear fireworks going off. You feel this burning warmth deep in your bones and your whole body feels like it’s melting into him, just thinking about it makes me have butterflies.

I froze when Azure thumped his tail on my head and his big blue round eyes peered down into my face.

“Shh!” I panicked putting my finger to my lips shushing him. My heart hammered in my chest but it simmered down once I remembered Katakuri couldn’t hear Azure. Oh yeah, I forgot. I giggled lightly and stole another glance at Katakuri but his facial expression hasn’t changed since the last time I glanced at him.

“Katakuri? Is something wrong?” I asked a little worried. I blinked and when I opened my eyes again, he was standing right in front of me. His face was inches from mine and I gasp taking a step back.

“D-don't sca-" he licked the side of my mouth without warning. I could feel my face scorching as I stumbled backwards knocking into the pots and pans behind me. “Y-you licked me!” I shrieked covering my hand over where his tongue touched my skin.

“I did.” He said calmly staring at me with amusement. “You had chocolate on your face.” He said seriously taking my spoon and placing it in his mouth. “This chocolate taste real rich, and creamy, but it’s not to sweet either. What ingredient is in this chocolate that makes it taste so delicious?” he asked looking satisfied with the taste.

I felt my eyes light up. “I’m happy you noticed but I’m sorry, I can’t give you my secret ingredient.” I shook my finger side to side playfully forgetting about him licking me so casually.

It was like slicing into butter once I cut my cake in to small triangles and separated one slice putting it into a small pink box and tied it closed with a red bow. “What are doing with that piece?” Katakuri asked me curiously.

“You’ll see.” I smiled sweetly trying to weasel in a question that just started weighing on my mind. “Hey, Katakuri. . . I was wondering, what had you so worried earlier?” I asked trying to sound nonchalantly while cleaning the mess I made in the kitchen.

“Oh, well. . we will be arriving to Totto land a lot faster then I predicted.” I tilted my head, “isn’t that what you wanted?” I asked a little confused.

“Yeah it is, it’s just. . I want you to stay close to me when we dock. Totto land is a wonderful place but it’s still very dangerous, so I want you to stay close to me from here on.” He sounded and looked at me so seriously.
