Ivy POV
I bit down on my thumb nail nervously, it’s been a few days since Admiral Theo took Fae and no one has suspected that I had a helping hand in her disappearance but that man with the red eyes. . t-that’s Leon! Why the hell is he still alive?! I thought Katakuri would have eliminated him by now so why is he here?!
I caught a glimpse of him entering the Charlotte’s meeting chambers but I’ve only ever seen the Charlotte’s enter that room and so far Leon, some other handsome man following close behind him, Jinbe, and another Fishman entered that room and so far only one person came out. . Leon.
I quickly hid behind the thick pillar before he spotted me. I have to inform Theo about this or this could spill bad news for the both of us. I peeked around the pillar once more to see which direction Leon went but he was no where in sight. Where the hell did he go?!
“Ahem.” A males voice cleared his throat behind me and I froze in terror feeling sweat dripping off my body. I slowly turned around nervously and came face to face with a set of red demonic eyes.
“What exactly do you think you doing?” He asked, closing his eyes with a smile on his face that I couldn’t quite read.
My mind was telling me to calm down but my body was screaming at me to run like my life depended on it. “I-I was just passing through.”
“Oh really? Then why are you hiding?” He opened his eyes and his cold gaze met mine.
“I-I wasn't hiding. I was just curious about the handsome men the maids were going on and on about.” I said, adding a sprinkle of flirtatiousness in my voice but he didn’t so much as bat an eye.
“Oh? So you passing by was all just a lie?” He asked in a cool smooth voice but his presence alone was overwhelming me and my body didn’t seem to know how to function under his gaze.
“N-no, I really was just passing through until I saw you exiting that room.” I bowed my head, “I’m sorry but I got nervous so I hid. I honestly don’t know why I did that but my body just moved all on it’s own.” I said sweetly, forcing tears to appear in my eyes but when I made eye contact with him, I knew he wasn’t buying my little white lie.
I have to pull out my trump card and do what I do best. . seduce him or he may tell the Charlotte’s I was snooping.
I took a breath and flipped my flirtatious switch on, “okay, you caught me.” I lifted my hands in the air and gave him a coy smile. “I came to see if the men were as handsome as the gossip was claiming them to be and so far, they weren’t exaggerating at all.” I claimed, placing my hands on my hips.
His facial expression was unreadable as his eyes slowly grazed over my body. That’s right get a good look. I thought to myself as I leaned a little forward to give a better view of my breast but he snarled, looking down at me as if I was disgusting.
“A call girl, huh?” He let out a sigh, putting his hands in his pockets. “I’m sorry, I’m not interested. Tell who ever hired you that I’m not into fucking prostitutes.” He said dully, walking past me.
P-prostitute?. . . wait, he thinks I’m a prostitute?! How insulting!
I spun around in anger, “I am not a prostitute, you ass! I am a doctor for your information and a darn good one at that!” I spat out before I could control myself and I quickly placed my hands over my mouth and when he stopped walking my palms began to sweat.
He turned his body slightly to look in my direction. “Oh, sorry about that. I guess comparing you to a prostitute is insulting for prostitutes who actually do what they do to survive. Seriously, women like you are really disgusting.”
I growled, digging my nails into my palms and my fear for him went out the window. “You may look nothing like Fae but you two are definitely related! You both know exactly where to push to get a reaction out of me and I'm so happy Theo took her! He's probably raping her right at this very moment-” My body was slammed against the pillar and every bone in my body rattled from the impact. I let out a gasp of pain but he covered my mouth before I could scream as he leaned his face dangerously close to mine. “It seems I may have just found me a rat.” He snarled as his burning eyes pierced right through me. “Your going to tell me what I want to know and don’t even attempt to lie.” His hand around my mouth gripped painfully to the bone.
“Where is she?” He asked such a simple question but the truth is, I have know idea where she is. Theo didn't trust me enough to confide that information to me but if I tell him I don't know. . something tells me I'm going to regret not knowing.
His grip around my mouth loosened to give me room to talk but my tongue couldn’t seem to form words as I stared into his demonic eyes and I could tell he was growing impatient with every passing second I was silent.
“You know, you have such a pretty face.” He lifted my chin up with his fingers, brushing his thumb over my cheek. “It would be a real shame if I were to match what you look like in the inside on the outside, don’t you think?”
My eyes were glued to his and there was no hesitation, no warmth, and no mercy detected in his cold eyes. I knew right away, he was nothing like Katakuri, Oven, or Theo. This man wasn’t threatening to take my life like the others, he was threatening to take my beauty.
Tears began to roll down my cheeks, my beauty is all I have if that were taken from me then I’ll have nothing to live for. I rather die or rot in a ceil then live as an undesirable woman. “I’ll tell you everything I know just please. . don’t disfigure my face.” I whispered softly as I sunk to my knees, she's not even here anymore and yet she still manage to win.
This is all my fault. I allowed my envy and resentment towards Fae to consume me and now I'm stuck paying the bitter price.
