Epilogue Part 2

(Okay, I'm sorry it's been a while. I've been extremely busy with trying to buy a new home and I've been promoted to manager at my job and family being sick with covid so it's been crazy the last couple of months but I promise I'll finish this epilogue that I started as soon as I can and thank you for reading!!! ❤️❤️❤️)

Katakuri POV

I placed my daughter back down onto her feet, feeling a little defeated but I'm just glad he's taking his anger out on me and not his mother.

"Geez, what has gotten into him?" Aurinko let out a huff before looking up at me with a grim look on her face. "He's right you know. You're always away doing God knows what and now all of a sudden your trying to play dad."

My beautiful daughter who always looked forward to seeing me when I came to visit, looked at with such disappointment in her eyes that it shattered my heart into millions of tiny pieces.

"I don't care if you pop in and out, it doesn't bother me but it does Fengari. He's more. . fragile and delicate just like mom so you can't keep doing that to him." She narrowed her grey eyes, eyes that I knew all to well.

"I know." The words sounded so pathetic coming out of my mouth. "But I'm trying."

Her eyes soften a little, "I know you are, but. . it does raise some concern." She placed her hands on the back of her head, groaning in frustration as if she was trying to keep her emotions in check.

"Has. . something happened to mom and your just not telling us."

Panic quickly set in as I shook my hands side to side in a frenzy, "n-no! It's nothing like that! I swear!"

Dammit! Why is this so hard!? I just want to spend time with my kids!

I let out a deep sigh, rubbing the back of my neck. "I'm sorry. I know I haven't been there and I know you two prefer your mother over me but she isn't here right now, I am and I'm really trying so just. ." I balled my fists, digging my nails into my flesh, "let me be here for you and Fengari, okay?"

She nodded her head slightly, "okay." She dropped her arms around her waist, hugging herself tightly. "Look, we may only be sixteen but we are not stupid, we've always known the Government has been after mom because she's different. . like me. . and like Fengari and I know why mom left. She's terrified people will find out about us so she left us behind." She whispered as if she was scared someone would hear her.

"No, no, no!" I grabbed ahold of her shoulders, gripped her tightly, shaking her ever so gently. "Your Mother left to protect you and your brother so you two could have a happy normal life. A life without piracy or running a-nd-and I promised her that I would give that to you two."

I could see tears threatening to spew out of her eyes, "it's not fair. Mom doesn't get to with her family because of some stupid evil organization that Big Mama could easily wipe out."

"It's not that simple, baby."

"Yes, it is." She let out a dry laugh, "Fengari was right. We'll never get to see mom again if it was up to you and this family."

I opened my mouth to tell her not to be ridiculous but I couldn't make the words come out. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, "you'll see your mother again, I swear to you-"

"STOP LYING! Stop projecting your fears onto us! Just stop!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.

My mouth went completely dry, seeing the pain in my little girls face. "You, mom, this family. Your all selfish."

She turned her back on me and stormed up the stairs, leading to the front door of our house, "just to forewarn you, Fengari may look and act calm on the outside but he's more like you then you know."

"What's that suppose to mean?" I asked her but she ignored me and continued into the house. "Aurinko, what's that suppose to mean!?" She slammed the door shut in my face without saying a word.

I felt the blood rushing to my face with anger, "Eugh!! I am your father, dammit! And this is my house, you know!" I shouted and I could hear laughter coming from behind me.

"Ah, teenagers. I love the mindset of children with big ambitions. No matter the obstacle in there way they think they can get past it with ease if they try hard enough, it's cute."

Every muscle in my body tensed up and my feet were frozen in place, "what the fuck are you doing here, Leon."

"I came to check up on my dear little sister but much to my surprise, she isn't here but it seems like your the one in need of checking up upon. You really are struggling with fatherhood, aren't cha?" He gave me one of his famous smirks that made me want to punch him in his throat.

"Shut up and just leave, I don't need to hear any of your condescending bullshit. I already have a lot on my plate as it is."

He raised his hands up, still wearing his egotistical smile, "hey now, I haven't seen you in years and this is how you treat me? I'm hurt." He placed his hands over his heart, pretending to be in pain.

I let out a sigh, pinching the bridge of my nose, "what do you want, Leon?"

The playful expression on his face melted off quickly and for once he looked up at me seriously, "I came to talk to my sister about this but she isn't answering my calls so I came to talk to you."

I rolled my eyes in announce, "talk about what, Leon."

He brushed his fingers through his dark hair and looked me dead in the eyes, "You know I don't scare easily but your kids, especially your son. . scares the fuck out of me."

The atmosphere around us thickened dangerously and quickly became painfully silent. I narrowed my eyes down at him, glaring at him with nothing but deep hostility.

"Leon, I'm warning you. I won't hesitate to kill you if you so much as lay a finger on my children." I snarled, threateningly.

"I'm not here to harm your kids, you big oaf. I'm here to offer guidance." He grin curled up into a cruel smile. "As much as you hate to admit it your son is dangerous to himself and to everyone he cares about and you can't help him. . but I can."

"Just what the hell are you trying to say?! Huh?!" I grabbed ahold of the collar of his shirt, lifting him up off the ground. "I don't need some arrogant ass to tell me what I already know, you bastard!" I growled into his face. "What is it you want, Leon?!"

Leon's smile stayed glued to his face with my face only inches from his, "isn't it obvious? I want to train your son."
