Forbidden Feelings

Fae POV

After watching my brother disappear into the sea. I turned to Sanosuke who looked deep in thought.

"What's on your mind?" I asked poking his arm playfully.

"I was just thinking how terrifying your brother can be sometimes." He said chuckling awkwardly rubbing the back of his head.

"What do you mean?" I asked tilting my head to the side. Sanosuke blushed casting his eyes away from me.

Why is his face red? I wonder if he's getting sick? I touch his forehead and he flinched backwards away from my hand.

"Did I do something wrong?" Don't tell me he's scared of me? Did Leon finally tell him?

I could feel my body tense up and fear crept up twisting a knot in my stomach.

"No, no sorry, you just surprised me is all. Just don't worry about what I said, I'm just talking nonsense. So what is it you want to do today? We can bake or we can fight if you still want to practice combat fighting." Sanosuke said all fidelity putting his fists in the air swigging at nothing.

I giggled, I felt my body relax a little. I must be over thinking things, I sighed with relief.

"No, I rather listen to your stories." I said smiling with my eyes closed.

"Oh, umm. . -sweatdrop- I don't have anything new to tell you but I heard your birthday is coming up. Is there anything you particularly want?" Sanosuke asked with a fake nervous smile.

I pretended not to notice that he just changed the subject, "I just want to go out to sea. I don't care for jewel's, gold, or anything else. All I want is to leave this place even if it's only for a few days." I admitted clutching my hand to my chest.

Sanosuke sighed, "why do you have to be so cute. It's so hard to tell you no so please, don't make me say it to you." Sanosuke said looking pained.

I casted my face down shadowing my eyes under my hair. I could hear Sanosuke talking in the back ground but I wasn't listening to anything he was saying.

I can't do this anymore I got to leave this place but for now I'll just pretend everything is fine and when Leon gets back I'll try talking to him one more time but if he refuses to listen to me, then. . then I'll leave on my own. I know he thinks I'm dangerous. He's never said that directly to my face but why else would he not let me leave this island?

"Fae?. . Fae!" Sanosuke yelled my name, pulling me out of my thoughts.

His face had concern written all over it, "are you okay? Are you not feeling well? Do you need to lay down or need some water?" He asked all panicky running around trying to figure out what to do.

"Uh, I'm sorry. Everything is fine, come on let's go bake cookies. I know how much you love cookies." I conjured up my best smile, grabbing his hand and pulling him toward the house in a hurry.

Sanosuke POV

I watched Fae mix the cookie dough in a mixing bowl with her tiny hands. She had flour in her hair, on her face, just about every where's but she was still stunning.

If she wasn't Leon's sister I would have already made her my wife.

Her beauty can't compare to anyone on this earth, not even Boa Hancock could hold a candle to her beauty but she is still definitely not worth making an enemy of Leon.

He would kill me on the spot without hesitation if he knew I had feelings for his little sister. She means nothing but the world to him even though theirs no blood relation between the two of them.

I narrowed my eyes, I have always felt like Leon was secretly in love with Fae however, I wouldn't dare point that out to him but it would explain a lot to why he wont let her leave this island.

I honestly believe he doesn't want anyone taking her away from him so he keeps her hidden causing him to be cruel to her without realizing it but still, all he does is lie to her and she looks at him like he hung the moon.

She knows nothing about the man she calls brother. She doesn't know he's a pirate, my captain at that. She doesn't know that he is one of the competitors in the underworld trading business or that he trades between all the four Emperors of the sea.

If she knew half the things I knew about her brother, she would probably look at him in a different light.

"Sanosuke, your suppose to be helping me." She said pouting while her beautiful grey eyes sent daggers at me as she rolled the cookie dough into small round balls, putting them on to a large pan.

No, I am wrong. She not the type of girl who cares about status but still, that doesn't mean he has the right to lie to her.

I smiled at her, she was so cute with her cheeks all puckered out. "I'm sorry, I couldn't help but admire you. You look so cute and happy working on your cookies all by yourself." I teased and she gave me one of her famous breathtaking smiles that always seem to give me butterflies.

"You don't have to help but that just means more cookies for me," She joked, laughing evilly.
I couldn't help but laugh at her statement.

"That's a little greedy don't you think?" If only you didn't have anything to do with Leon, I would kiss you right now on those beautiful full lips of yours.

"It's only fair since I'm making them all by myself." She snickered, sticking her tongue out at me.

I know I could make her happy and she wouldn't have to stay on this isolated island anymore but that's not possible with Leon behind her protecting her every step but at least I can enjoy every second I have with her, even if she can't be mine. I thought to myself picking up a little bit of flour into my hand throwing it into her face.

She looked taken back until I started laughing at her. She grabbed a handful of flour chasing me around the kitchen screaming at me.

I promise you Fae, I'll keep that beautiful smile on your face even it kills me.
