Fae POV

Akainu wiped the blood off his mouth as he panted for air. "I have to admit, I'm impressed. I didn't think you were going to put up much of a fight, let alone be able to hold your own against me."

He pierced his hateful eyes down at me, "but I can see the exhaustion in your eyes. Your moves are becoming sluggish and it's only a matter of time before your body gives out on you."

I narrowed my eyes at him as I forced air into my lungs and my wounds tingled and throbbed. It was the first time in my life that I ever felt so much pain. Every part of my body hurt so much. He's so powerful but I refuse to give him an inch and I can't give up, no matter how much my body is screaming at me in agony. "Keep underestimating me and you'll live to regret it." I threatened in a dark voice but he just smiled sinisterly.

"I can see how you caught Theo's attention and I've tried to avoid killing you for his sake b-"

"Stop talking and fight me!" I shouted, blasting sea water towards him but he quickly blocked my attack with a wave of hot lava.

"I was planning on sparing your life and hand you over to Vegapunk but now I see your just to dangerous to keep alive." He growled through the steam and I prepared myself for his next attack but when I heard him snicker behind me, I realized he tricked me and was heading straight to Leon.

"No!" I hurdle sharp icicles towards him intent to kill if need be but I already knew I wasn't going to make it in time to save my brother.

"Don't you dare touch him!" I screamed while tears began to fill my eyes as his fist coded in lava, dangerously lingered above Leon's unconscious body.

My ears went dead and I couldn't hear myself screaming anymore as his fist came crashing down above Leon but a thick coat of moshi blocked Akainu's deadly fist.

I hit my knees and I was in complete utter shock for a moment until Katakuri's soft voice reached my ears. "It's okay, everything is going to be okay now." He feed me comforting words as Oven, Sanosuke, and Titus came in not long after Katakuri showed up but at the same moment Aokiji, dragged Theo by the collar of his shirt behind him and shortly after, Kizaru peered beside him.

Akainu quickly retreaded beside his comrades and it was a stand off between Pirates and Marines but Akainu quickly took a threatening step forward but Aokiji placed his hand on his shoulder to stop him, "the island will completely be submerged under water in a matter of moments. Let's just face it, we've lost this round."

"Aokiji is right, we can always fight another day." Kizaru stated but Akainu shook Aokiji's hand off his shoulder as he growled in irritation but he took a bitter step back.

Akainu snarled in my direction, glaring at me with deep hatred and I couldn't help but flinch under his fearsome gaze. The men around me tensed up and Katakuri growled menacingly. "Get your filthy eyes off of her." He whispered dangerously, standing in front of me.

Akainu smirked as if he was satisfied with how everyone reacted, "she's only going to get stronger. You stupid Pirates don't see it now but you'll regret protecting that girl and I'll spend every waking moment hunting that girl and her 'so called brother' down. That pretty face of yours is going to be on wanted posters all around the world and I'll make sure of that." He hissed angrily, turning his back on us.

"Good luck with the impossible because you'll have to get through a lot of powerful people before you can get to her." Sanosuke sneered as they began to walk away.

It took all my strength to stand up, "wait." I said softly, stepping in front of Katakuri. Aokiji stopped, looking back at me as the others ignored me. "Can you please tell Theo that. .".
