The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 18

After from the unexpected appearance of Spade in sky joker. Joker was on full panic and angry mode - first; he was panic because of what could Spade said of judgemental and second; he was angry that Spade stole his spotlight to talk or explain to Queen about his foam explosion escape at the science convention.

Right now, Joker and Spade are on top deck of the airship. They left Queen Hachi and even Ai at the living room chatting or eat somes snacks and some stuff.

Spade standing facing his back in front of Joker, gust of wind flowing his long blue hair closing his eyes and take a deep breath "first of all... " he turned around facing Joker, sweatdrop.

"Aren't you gonna take a bath first.... you still covered in foam"

Joker look down at himself, his clothes is full of blue foam bubbles. He scoff like nothing bothered "I'm gonna take a bath after you gave me the talk you wanted"

Spade crosses his arms, feeling irratated "I'm not gonna start talking Joker.... you smell like chemicals with lemon detergent on you, that smell make my health even worse" pinching his nose, trying not to smell the weird scent.

Joker sigh, no choice "alright... wait like something minutes, okay" then he live Spade alone.

Queen can't believe her eyes and ears. She met Ai; the famous idol singer is working with Kaitou Spade as an assistant.

The three - Hachi, Queen and Ai - having a conversation.... but Queen was beyound shock that she met Ai from the shuffle sisters. She's boyound daze... Joker's friends is really something.

"Princess?"

Queen snapped back to reality, that she realize that she's been thinking on her thoughts for a while. "Y-yes?"

"What kind of tea do you want, your highness?" Ai ask, formally.

"Uh... just anything will do..." Ai nodded and start to brew the tea. Queen look at her, still surprised. "I never knew you work with Kaitou Spade"

"I know, right?" Hachi's eyes start to sparkle. "When I found out that Darkeye is Ai.... I was...." trailed off, nothing what to said next, still gushing of Ai.

"Heheh it really is a surprise... here you go, nice honey green tea" Ai pour on Queen's tea cup. "It's really nice to meet you, Princess"

Queen sipped her tea then shook her head "oh no... please don't call me Princess... I don't need any formalities here"

Ai giggled "Alright Miss Queen... oh anyway why you're here with Mr. Joker? I never knew that he brought a girl in his airship..."

Queen give her nervous smile "heheh well... you see... it's my idea.... I ask Joker if his okay that I come with him to Paris... he hesistate at first - because my father give him the death eyes - and he's okay....." then she look down, shy "it's the only way I could spend time with him..."

"Oh really... that's so sweet"

Hachi arced his brow "you want to spend time with Joker?... do you like him, Miss Queen?" Squinting his eyes, hoping for an correct answer.

"Oh uhm.... well" Queen hesistate, blushing "well I do like him, okay.... we just spend some time togetheand know each other... like..... friends do".... please please please he fell for it.... if he knew I like- no... love Joker..... for sure he's going to said to him!! she screamly thought.

Hachi blinked twice "well... okay"

Okay... he fell for it, good.

Ai glanced up at the ceiling, wondering "It's kinda take too long for them to talk.... It never been this long, you know"

Hachi agree "now you mention it... " he look at the time "it takes like 30 minutes now.... I wonder what they're talking too."

"Okay... I'm done taking a bath, Spade... you're happy?"

Spade cringely look at Joker, twitching his eye..... you're kidding me... "You already wear your pajamas?"

Joker look down at his yellow pajamas he wear. He sigh and scoff at him, crossing his arms "well after this.... I'm going straight to bed and play with my 3ds game consule to beat the boss level that I tried to beat... are we gonna talk about the way I wear for tonight here or what?!"

Spade sigh desperately, feeling his body a bit weaker. He took a deep breath; to brought back to his calm state and start to speak "okay... Joker, tell me.... why there's a young girl...... who happens the princess of emerald.... the one that you fought, that you stoled from their family's treasure- The Lighting Emerald - a month ago.... living here for a couple of days.... in your airship?!"

Joker cringed his faced irratatedly... gah... I can't stand him!!.... "It's her idea.... she's just want to stay with me for a couple of days to see Paris, that's all!" Facing away from Spade, crossing his arms.

Spade arced his brow "And?"

"And, what?"

"Any other reasons?"

He's still not giving up!!.... "I told you, she just want stay here with me for a couple of days to see Paris, that's it!!" Joker said, furiously yelled.

Spade sigh, try to compress his composure "you never going to admit it, huh?" He already know that he had a soft on the princess.

Joker glanced away, crosses his arms, with a hint pink on his cheek and a bit of angry attitude "admit, what?"

Spade breathe heavilly.... I'm not going to press him further, this talk is going to be annoying because of his excuses and I'm tired of it!!.... Spade decided to try a different topic or a different strategy "I thought you hate the Princess, since Hachi told me that you fought each other from the treasure you stole from her family.... and now she staying with you for a couple of days... you know that's kinda a quick way to make peace with her"

Joker scoff "Have I ever done to make peace quickly, before?"

Spade recall some of it; firstly when Joker met Princess Paprika in the Saffron Kingdom, the princess has a bit of doubts on him then they have work together to save her kingdom and secondly he even help Inspector Oniyama to save her daughter - just for a day.

Spade nodded.

"See... now please can we just end this stupid conversation!"

Spade blink "Joker..."

"Mmhm?"

"Do you like the Princess?"

Joker paused for a while, swallowed heavily. The two were complete silence, except the woshing of the wind and cars noises honking on the streets below the airship.

Until then Joker sigh "We're done here Spade.... besides I think it's time for us to go back inside, they're waiting for us"

Joker went back inside living Spade standing alone. Spade cannot believe that Joker still didn't admit to him. Spade already know Hachi about Joker's feelings about the princess; of course Joker told him because they were partners and partners stick together.

Spade went inside, he already know what Joker's feelings about the princess, but never admit to his face.

Even it takes weeks or months because Joker is a dense stubbernly guy!
