The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 20

It's been two days since Spade and Ai's visit in the sky joker, and it's one of the most half akward and half fun experience for the past couple of days.

Joker, Queen and Hachi have a great time around Paris; sight seeing, visiting the museums and parks... Queen even buy a suiveneer for her parents and her maid back home.

Whenever she and Joker where alone, sometimes the two have the same itchy feeling that they wanted to confess there love to each other but some of there confessing sessions cut off immediatly; like phone calls, emergencies, hunger, or even some of unexpected jump scares or explosions.

Is the universe try to mess with us?!! ...They both mentally screaming or cried to the universe.

But now this day, it's time, the princess of emerald to return home. Queen is kinda sad, she's going to miss the freedom outside the palace but she's happy to see her parents, she really miss them for the pass couple of days.

She's already suited up and packed her things. The sky joker was 10 kilometers away from the palace so no will notice. Her private car was going to pick her up in nearest town from the sky joker.

The three where on the town square with the huge fountain in the center, waiting Quee's private car.

"Looks like I'm ready to go!" Queen swallowed then smile forcefully "Its really the best days I have in the sky joker and also in Paris"

"It really is..." Joker exclaimed.

Queen nodded and glanced down at Hachi "I'm going to miss your cooking too, Hachi. Your meals is one of the best!"

Hachi giggled, scratching his head "hehe... thank you so much Princess"

When Queen glanced around the town, Hachi nudge to Joker, giving him a signal, that maybe is the time to confees his feelings to Queen.

Joker nodded and sigh heavily.... I hope there's no interruptions in here, besides I need to confess to her before she went home... he thoughtly begged and pray.

"Uh... Hey, Queen"

Queen look back at Joker, with a questioning look "mmh?"

Joker swallowed heavily, his heart is beating, rapidly. "there's something I nee- I mean I want to know that I....

A loud car horn interrupt, making the two jolted.

Queen glanced at the familiar car near the fountain "That's my ride... never knew could be this early?" She scratched her head with a nervous smile. "I have to go now... thank you so much, Jack, Hachi..."

She carry her bags went inside the car, she roll down the window, glanced at them give them a wave, goodbye. "I'll text you when I've arrive at the castle!" She said and rolled up the car window and left.

As the car went out of view from the town, Joker slowly went down on his hands and knees, gloomily in defeat.

Stupid.... c-car.....

"Maybe next time?" Hachi inquired, smiled nervously.

"How was your adventure in Paris with Mr. Jones? Is it great?" Her maid said as she unpack her clothes.

Queen arrived home an half an hour ago, she greeted her mother at the entrance. She wonders where her father was, her mother said that she was his office doing paperwork.

And now she was in her room with her maid herlping out with her things.

Queen nodded eagerly "Yes! It was great and the best!" She excitedly laying down her bed "I've even made a new friend!"

"Who is it?"

"It's Ai from the Shuffle Sisters!"

Her eyes widen in surprise "Ai?! From the Shuffle Sisters?! But that's impossible... How she's in Paris? I thought she's with her sisters for a bit of vacation with her parents?"

"Yeah I know... that's what I thought about but she had second career for privacy"

She hum in agree and continue her work. As the moment of silent went by then her phone start to buzz. Queen quickly sat up and check her phone. It was a text message of Joker.

"Who is it, Princess?" The maid said as she dump all the dirty clothes on the basket.

"It's from Joker"

Hey, Queen, can we meet together on your balcony tonight at midnight.... there's somerthing I want to tell you

Queen blink twice in confused and a bit of surprise.

"So what is it saids?" She ask as she organize the vanity.

"He said that we should meet this midnight... he said there's something he to tell me..." She said as she look the context "it's kinda weird... normally he would gave me the advance notice about it"

"Maybe he just rush with something?"

Queen shrugged her shoulders as a maybe. But he just hoping that tonight will be intresting and she feels a bit of excited about it.

It's 4 pm in the palace of emerald, Queen is helping her father of some his paperwork. She's not really good with poliyics and stuff and she really hated it, her head feels like is going to explode, but her fathed suggested that she need to practice this full loads of paperwork for future referece.

"So... how was Paris?" Her father said, still eyeing the paper.

"It was great... I go to museums, parks and I even go to the science conventions of my first day in Paris"

Her father stop reading the documents and look at her daughter in a bit of fear and concerned. He heard the news that in Paris, there's a heist in the science convention.

The infamous Kaitou Joker is going to steal Galileo's microscope at the science convention in Paris. He did succesfully stole the microscope but the way he escape with his assistant was beyound an impact. Soap bubbles everywhere.

"What?!"

Queen flinched a bit in confused "What what?"

"You went to the science convention?!"

Queen paused in confused then she knows what he's talking. She recall about the science convention that Joker's going to steal the microscope and escape with a big kaboom of soap.

"Yes I did... and I know what you said next I'm fine, no bruises or anything... besides I went to the science convention that morning, the heist only start that night you know... I wasn't even there" Queen explain made her father sigh in relief.

"Good... but Queen I'm worried about you, you're my only child and I can't stand of you getting hurt" Her father said said worriedly.

Queen smiled softly a place her hands on top of his and squeeze gently "Papa don't worry... I'm not going get hurt... and besides I'm grown up and capable of taking care of myself... and I promise that I will always be safe and happy girl for you and mama"

Her father returned her with a smile, agree with ber and start continue with their countless paperwork.
