The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 25

"I'm so sorry, Princess"

It's already night time and Queen is still moping for the last 4 hours. Queen explained everything to her maid and she feel guilty. She shouldn't have ask that question. She apologies many times to her and comfort her.

Queen sniff, hugging her pillow "You apologising me many times and I forgive you but.... I don't know what to do right now... I don't want to face Papa anymore" she buried her face on to the pillow.

"You need water...?" Her maid ask.

Queen nodded, still on her pillow, thinking what would she do next. She decided she don't want to face her father anymore; like locking inside her room or not facing her father or not talking to him again or.... maybe running away.

She glanced at the window, shinning a bit bright and glommy, she don't know why but she had a bad feeling about tonight or she just nervous about the dinner party that Joker invited. She mentally gasp in realization. She thought about running away but what would her parents think or even the whole palace. She shook her head, had no choice to do this.

"Here's your water" she gently smiled.

"Thanks...." she sipped a bit then glanced at her maid, sadly smiled "uhmm.... can you get my trainig outfit... I just want to wear that for dinner at Joker's"

"Huh... so you decided to go to his dinner party... but aren't you wear something presentable?"

Queen shook her head, no "just traning outfit that's all"

"Alright" she went to Queen's closset and grab the clothes and set on her bed "are you hiding something, your highness"

Queen brightly smiled at her "No... not at all"

The slowly walk down the hallway. He just want to apologies to her from what happen inside his study. He's explain everything to his wife, she's surprised that Jack Jones is Kaitou Joker and she's even more surprised that their only child had head over heels on him.

He recall that his wife said to him.

"Did Ja- I mean... Did Joker made Queen happy?"

That question strucked him. He recall many times how he see Queen smile and cheerful and she change a little when she interacts with people. He sigh to admit.

"He did made her happy"

She smiled at him "go talk to her... if you don't she won't ever to forgive you... and besides it's her choice even if it means that she's fell inlove with a thief, she's all ready grown up making her own choices"

And now here he is, he want to apologise to her before it's too late. As he walk up the stairs he turns the corner and he stopped his tracks when he saw his daughter's peesonal maid. She notice the king and she immediately bow at him, lowering her head.

"Is my daughter is in her room?" He ask formaly.

"Y-yes your majesty, she's already alseep" She stammered a bit, she knows Queen going to Joker's dinner party.

He nodded, he knows she's lying but he's going to yell at her or even made a scolding. "You're dismiss"

"Of course" the she left quickly without a second thought, leaving the king looking back at her, suspiciously.

He was near Queens bedroom door until a huge explosion made the palace shake. The king fell down on his knees, breathing heavily.

He shakily stand up, worriedly "What's happening?"

"Your Majesty!!" A knight quickly to the king "some airship fired at the west wing!"

"What?!" He said then there's another explosion made the hallway shook a bit. Breathing heavily looking at his daughter's bedroom door then back to his knight "Get everyone out of the palace and get ready the troops, I think they try broked in or...." he trailed fearing that this is going to be the end of their country but his thoughts caught by another explosion.... damn it they try to destroy the whole palace!

"Yes, your majesty... but we kinda need you there at the west wing!"

The king hesistated, he glanced at her daughter's bedroom door then back to his knight "call some of your best knights and gaurd her room... make sure she's safe!"

He nodded and the two went off where the explosion is.

Just before the explosion started, Queen is already dressed up with her training outfit, tying her hair, pigtails with a diamond hairpin that Joker gave it to her. She's now alone, standing on the balcony waiting Joker. She knows he'll be here for 30 minutes but her mind is racing when she thinking about running away.

Many doubts in her mind, if this a bad idea or not. What would Joker think, her parents and even her country. Her thoughts quickly cut off when a bang of explosion, quickly off balance.

"What the?.." she shakily, slowly stand up until another explosion, she quickly hold on to the railing for support. "What's happening?..." she breath heavily until she saw a huge smoke at the sky ".... what in th-" another explosion and she quickly ran in to her room.

She really to know what happen, from what's the cause of the explosion. Until she heard the alarm and the alarm is in the treasure room.... Someone or something broked in the palace or trying to destroyed it!

She's scared, don't know what to do or how. She thought's running about her parents' safety or even her subjects but she needed help.

She grabed her phone trying to call Joker but he's not picking up many times, so she decided to give a message.

"Joker... Help! There's something in the palace... I need help!"

She quickly send her message quickly grabbed her sword and went out to the hallway until two men with guns blocking her way.

"Stop right there missy!"

She stopped and held her sword tightly, anger rushing through her veins ready to counter attack them. This is going to be the heck of her life tonight.
