The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 12

Tonight is finally arrived, is the night that Joker is going to meet Queen's parents. And he's utterly beyound frighten, like he's entering a haunted house, shivered on fear.

Joker is wearing a full red slacks and jacket underneath is a tucked in cravat; he's still has his scar covered in blue, he's not wearing makeup because Queen's family already know. And for Hachi, his wearing a simple light blue jacket underneath royal blue shirt.

Joker and Hachi were walk through the hallway -the knight escorted them. As they walk, Joker tensed when he reached the door that leads the dining room, he's start sweating.

The knight stop and look at the two visitors. "I let the royal family know you were here, please wait here for a minute" he said then he enter the room.

Joker stood, shivering in fear made Hachi worried "Sir... are you alright?"

"I'm scared... Hachi, do you think I can do this... I never this scared in my whole life!!"

"What about cats?" Hachi teased, slightly smiled, sweatdrop.

"It's diffirent!!" Joker shouted until the door open saw the knight peeked out his head from the door.

"Mr. Jones and..."

"It's Hachi" maid nodded.

"Right.... you two may enter" he announced and went back inside.

Hachi glance at Joker, still shaking in fear "Are you ready, sir?"

Joker took a deep breath and exhale heavily, then he nodded "yeah... no turning back"

Inside the dining area the royal family sat on thier chairs, waiting for the two visitors. Queen already told her parents that Jack brought his friend with him, and they agree. The dining table already in set, lots of food and desert.

The knight enter the room and told them that thier geusts has arrived and waiting outside the door, the king ask him to let them inside and he nodded.

Then the door open, seeing two people; Joker and his assistant, walking to the royal family, bow in respect.

"Ahh.. you must be Jack Jones and Hachi" the queen stated, smile kindly to them. "Take a seat, will you and help yourself"

As the two sat in thier chairs, and everyone start to eat thier food.

"So... Jack... my daughter, Queen told me your like to travel" The king

Joker swallowed glanced at Queen, across the table infront of him in confused. Queen give him a look. Joker hesitate nervously "uh... yeah... yeah I am, I was in Greece yesterday" and I already stole the scroll of Medusa without a fuss...

The king nodded "Where do you go next?"

"Well... I was thinking Paris" scratching his head, nervously... of course its true I go to Paris for my next hiest later....

The queen gushed, happily "oh... I love Paris... I always wanted to go there..." she continue to questioned Joker "So Jack... what are you supposed to do on your travels?"

"Uhm..." Oh no... what I supposed to say to this?!.. Joker thoughtly screamed, start to sweating bullets all over his body.

Hachi notice Joker's sweating behaviour "Uhm... Mr. Jok- I mean Mr. Jones and I always travel every places and countries... including temples and ruins... " Hachi gulp, sweating "you know... explorers and... stuff... and as his assistant I will acompany him" Hachi and Joker frozen in spot.

The king blinked twice and glanced at her daughter "Is it true Queen?"

"Yes papa" quickly answerd

Her father nodded made the three sigh in relief.

The queen smiled then she started to joke "explorers huh?... hey Jack... are you related to Indiana Jones?" She giggled

Joker sweatdrop slightly smile in confused to the queen "wah?"

"Mama... you know he's just a fictional character from a movie" Queen weakly chuckled.

"I know that, he's kinda remind me of him.... and he has the last name of Jones" the queen cheeckly smiled

The king sweatdrop "oh c'mon dear... I think you watch too much Indiana Jones' movie series"

As the royal family start joking and bickering, Joker look at the family in admirization, sadness and awe. He smiled at them and feel happy for her that she had a complete family. He has the same face when he looked at Hachi's family.

"So... Jack, When are you going to Paris?" Queen questioned

Joker arched his brow "Tomorrow night, I think... why?"

Queen fidgeting her dress uder the table, nervously, hoping Joker agree, including her parents and most of all her father. Her father gets over protected when she talk or hang out with people who didn't know, he thought its a threat, even though her father didn't know that Jack is Joker, a phantom thief.

"Well... I was thinking that.... can I come with you... to Paris"

The whole room fell silent, the queen, Joker and Hachi was surprised and shocked, but most of all the king, hearing her only daughter and child, that she wants to go to a foreign country with a boy he met on his daughter's birthday party.

"Queen... dear, you shouldn't have to go" the kind said

"But papa... I want to go there, I just want to see new places discover new things... I'm tired stuck in a castle for a very long time, can I just.... want to roam free for a while" Queen explained, made her father feel bad.

He's getting to over protected because she's the only daughter and child, he vow to himslef that she's safe - he even let her daughter trained swordsmanship; it's her choice. But he notice how lonely she is in the palace, when he and his wife busy some work, she didn't have any friends in or outside the palace - except her personal maid - she always talk strictly to them; well of course she's always do that sometimes.

"Dear, c'mon... give her some freedom for a while... she's already grown up" the queen inquired

The king sigh deeply "Okay, you can go Queen... " then he glared at Joker made him jolted "if Mr. Jones okay with it" hoping he won't agree.

"Uhm.." he shifted his eyes to Queen. She her diamond eyes begging for agree. "Uhmmm... I'm okay with it..." he squeak

The king sigh heavily "alright... how long you'll be in Paris?"

"3 days" Joker gulped

The king nodded then he give a deadly glare made Joker shivering in fear "If you do something to my little girl, I will sue you"

Joker nodded furiously

The queen put her hand on her husband shoulder "dear... don't put hard on that boy"

Queen sweatdrop at her father's over protective antics but she's glad that he accepted it and also Joker.

She's can't wait for tomorrow night.
