The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 6

The next morning, Queen is not herself anymore. Since she admit it to herself that she likes Joker, she's not sleeping well last night, she's over thinking too much because she has many problems in her head; if Joker is not accepted her feelings or what her parents' react or even her kingdom.

That is what she's terrified of; being rejected and scandalism.

"Why did I start to like him anyway?.... his an idiot!"Queen sigh heavily at that thought

Queen walk down through the hallway and enter the dining room seeing her parents waiting on to thier table for thier daughter.

"Good morning mama.. papa..."

"Good morn-" her father stop as he look at her tired looking daughter. "Queen... what happen to you?"

"I'm not sleeping well last night..." she rubbed her eyes slightly as she sat her chair.

Her mother clapped her hands "I know what you need.... a nice strawberry milkshake for boost up your energy!"

"Huh?... but you said you two gonna save the strawberries for my birthday?"

"Well.." the couple look at each other concerned then back to Queen "we're worried about you Queen... you look so stress yesterday.... and we think that we could cheer you up"

"Wow.. thank you mama.. papa.." Queen smiled at her parents lovingly.

Strawberry milkshake will keep my mind off of him..... I think...

It was afternoon at the sky joker, flying ramdomly because Joker didn't have nothing else where to go. Yesterday after he admit that he has a crush on the princess and he even admit infront of Hachi.

And later yesterday afternoon, he's in his room thinking what treasure for thier next hiest, but nothing he had in mind only the princess with diamond eyes. He stuck in his room for the whole afternoon - well he's coming out his room for lunch and dinner - until now.

"Stop thinking about her.... " he thought banging his head on his desk "Why did I start to like that barbarian sword swinging princess...."

Hachi entered the room with a tray of orange juice "Hey, Mr. Joker.... so... any treasure we could steal?" As he put the tray on the table

Joker shook his head, massaged his temples "No... I don't think so.."

Hachi arched his brow, confused "nothing Mr. Joker?.... no treasure you had in mind?... its not really like you.."

Hachi is right, Joker is not like himself anymore. Joker sigh and banging his head on his desk "I know... I'm not myself anymore.... and it's all that barbaric princess' fault..."

"Is there anything I could do to help..? Maybe keep your mind off of her..?" Hachi ask

Joker sigh and look at Hachi with a bored look "Alright... fired it away, Hachi... any you had in mind?"

Hachi scratch his head thinking of something for Joker "Uhmm..... maybe watch a movie..?

Joker shook his head no "No... I tried it... every movie I'd watch..."

"Uhmm.... maybe watch a T.V.....?"

"I tried that too...... every channel...."

"Play video games?... read a manga?... eating your favorite food....?"

"Tried... try that... and I try that too also..." Joker sigh resting his head on his desk "I tried everything, Hachi...... fresh air, sleeping, lazy things I always do.... and even I even tried to hold my breath under the water in the swimming pool.... I almost drownd because of that"

Hachi sweatdrop "You got to be kidding me, sir.... "

"But... there's nothing" Joker added

Hachi has another idea but he think it could make Joker more frustrated"Maybe you should... give her a present... maybe that's will keep your mind off of her if she's accpted it or not..."

Joker scoff at the idea "I don't think so... do you think that'll work?"

Hachi nodded "of course it'll work... it work on me too when I gave my present to Ai" with sparkled eyes

Joker sweatdrop "Why...?" He thought

Hachi added "If the princess accepted it or not... it will helped you if you know her reaction about the present..."

Joker thought of the idea and he hope it would work.

It was almost midnight, and Queen still wide awake, laying on her bedroom with her comfy nightgown.

Whole day were horrible for Queen; after breakfast she's in her study room to study and reading some books, but she's not even concentrate her work because of the young thief has stuck in her mind. She even tried sparring with some knights whole afternoon but it's not really work at all.

She even try her guilty pleasure; eating every strawberry desserts and she's not eating dinner because of that, her stomach is full of straberries. 

Queen sigh tiredly "It's all your fault, Joker" she sigh again and close her eyes

Queen snapped her eyes open when she heard a tap on the balcony door, she sat up, grab her sword and went to her balcony door. She take a deep breath and open the door.

She look around her balcony but nothing, except a boquet of different kinds of flowers on the railing. She look at the flowers and sigh in frustration.

"Must been those stalker princes or boys again..." she mumble

She grabbed the boquet of flowers and raised it, ready to throw but then she stop when she found a card she familliar with.

She put back down the boquet and grab the card; examined it. It's color blue and has two Js on it; there's also a something written behind the card.

A peace offering for you...

KAITOU JOKER

Queen flushed as she read the card, and she's feel embarras too, sweatdrop. "Peace offering, huh?" Then she look at the boquet of flowers and took it in to her hand.

She held close the card and the boquet make her heart flutter with butterflies. She felt so happy when she smell the flowers, its so comfort.

Thank you....

She bring the boquet and the card with her, inside her room feeling satisfied, relief and happy. It make her heart more lighter.

Joker was in the distance sitting on the branch. He watch the princess on her balcony using his telescope to see it better. Joker was beyound happy right now. The princess accepting his present.

"Yes!!..." Joker raised his hands up in the air and leaned back; forgot that he was in the tree. He fell down on to the bushes with a thud.

"Oww.."
