The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 14

It's 3 in the afternoon, Joker is waiting infront in the of the entrance of the emerald palace, waiting for Queen.

There are two knights gaurding the entrance door, standing in gaurd without any hesitation. The knight glanced at Joker without turning his head. He thinking to himself that... how from all the young princes or man in the world loses from a young adventurous boy.

I geus the princess has her own tatse.. the knight thought... but that lad kinda change the princess a little into a young kind generous lady... only just a little...

"You waiting the princess, lad?" The knight said made Joker surprise, not even notice him.

"Oh.. uh yeah... I am" Joker squinted his eyes

The knight nodded his head "well... I have a weird question for you"

Joker arched his brow confused "then... what is it?"

"How did you do it?" The knight questioned.

Joker blink twice, he's even more confused "do what?"

"Make the princess impress?... well you're the first young lad in the world who make the princess.... well happy or swone... I mean all the princes try to impress her but... none of them make her impress" the knight said made Joker surprised.

I'm the first one to impress her... Joker thoughtly surprised.

Then the other knight added "and also you're the first guy who didn't end up punched in the face" he laughed and also his fellow comrade.

Joker sweatdrop, twichingly smiled... well she nearly killed me and ripped my cape when we first met...

"Why're you two laughing about?!" A familliar voice who scoulded at the entrance.

It's Queen, were both of her hands on her hips standing with an strictly angry face made the three jump in surprised

"Gah.... I-I'm sorry milady!" The two knights bow deeply in apology and quickly back to their post.

Queen glared at them then she glanced at Joker with a happy smile on her face. "So... Jack are we ready to go...."

Joker blinked nervously, still surprised and afraid from her sudden outburst. "Y-yeah... we should go now..."

"Wow.... your airship is huge!!... Queen said excitedly as she went inside the sky joker, then she blinked in confused, added ".... and very clean"

"Heheh... thanks Queen" Joker said nervously, sweatdrop... Hachi is right... I gues I'm too overboard clean the whole airship...

"Oh... hello Mr. Joker and welcome to the sky joker princess Queen" Hachi saud as hop off his kitchen stoll.

Queen sniffing the heavenly smell "wow... what is this amazing smell?"

"It's curry, princess.... oh and also I make strawberry cake for dessert"

"Woah... I can't wait... so where do I sleep?" Queen said.

"Oh right... Hachi, can you help Queen to the guest room... I should go to the control room so that we should arrived at Paris" Joker said

"Yes sir... come with me princess" Hachi obliged.

Queen nodded and follow Hachi with her bags.

"Is there any reason why you go to Paris?" Queen said as she eat her strawberry cake then she hum in pleasure "mmmhm.... Hachi this strawberry cake you made is way better than my chefs in the palace" she ate another bite.

"Aw... thank you princess" Hachi scratches his head, flustered.

"So back to my question.... do you have something to steal right?" Queen ask

Joker nodded then he handed her flyer "there's a science convention tomorrow night, me and Hachi going to steal this center piece..." he point the picture that it looks like an old classic microscope.

Queen arched her brow confused "So you stealing an ordinary microscope?... you know there's a tons of that..."

"It's not an ordinary microscope.... it's the very first microscope made by Galileo Galilei, it's 400 years old... that microscope it's the center piece for the honor for Galileo" Joker explained.

"Huh... I never knew that" Queen said

Joker do snarky smiled and point the side of his forehead "You should study and research princess... that was I and we phantom thieves do..."

Hachi sweatdrop "research?... you didn't even know what did the sigmadrive do, Joker"

"Hey!... I do my research, all I know that invention was made by Dr. Sigma and that's it... but it didn't saids that thing was a.... " he look at Queen in the corner of his eye... " a time machine..." he whispered the word to Hachi.

"So where's the sigmadrive you stole?" Queen asked

"Uh... I don't have it... Shadow suddenly barged us and stole it" Joker explained

"Shadow?... it sounds familliar... did I heard him from the news... or something?" Queen thought deeply then she snapped "oh... Shadow Joker right?... the one who looks like you with an umbrella but way more darker and more manly mature"

Joker feel anxious "hey!!... I'm more manly mature to, you know!!" he look away crosses, pouted.

"Heheh, More like childishly mature" Hachi and Queen giggle.

"Saids the guy who always cries all the time!!"

"Touché" Hachi sweatdrop

Queen chuckled and gazed at them with a sincere smile "You two guys are cute... a perfect duo of a kaitou and his assisstant"

Hachi bashfully smiled "aw... do you really think so princess?... we're sometimes fight and argued all the time"

"Partners always fights and ague all the time... did you know, it's make them stronger because it could learn to their mistakes and know how their feel... just like you two... you guys are getting along well" Queen expalined.

Joker and Hachi look at her in awe of how the princess giving them such great wisdom "Wow... Queen that's really such wisdom" Joker said.

"Hehe... thanks... as princess I always to lead my people with great wisdom... I need to be a great ruler and I don't want to let them down" Queen said nervously twirlling her hair.

"You're not gonna let them down... everybody loves a ruler who fights with a sword and had great wisdom" Joker assuring her.

Queen smiled at him... she mouth him thank you and continue to eat their dinner.

As night comes by, and they are now arrived at Paris, flying bellow them. Queen is on the upper deck of sky joker, gazed at the view filled with golden lights all over the city, including the Eiffel tower.

Queen never seen these wonders, its her first time outside the palace and she's glad too. It was worth to seeing this. Its magnificently breathtaking.

"Enjoying the view?" Joker walk in and stand beside in the railing.

"Yeah" Queen said breathly

As a moment of silence, enjoying the comfortable view until Joker spoke "Do you wanna come with us tomorrow morning..? Me and Hachi are going to the science convention to send my advance notice and maybe check around... and you should come with us so that you could see most of Paris"

Queen nodded excitedly "mhm... sure I love to come!"
