Chapter 30

Joker and Queen are both facing away from each other. Afte their screaming session for the 30 minutes, the two completely calm down, not facing each other, trying to forget just happened earlier.

Joker carresed his shoulder, wincing the pain he had. He muttered something, sarcastically. First, that Shadow bloody rained him on his shoulder and now Queen punch it. It'll double the pain for the pass weeks.

"How's your shoulder?"

Joker jolted a bit, still not facing her. He hummed, nodded "It's okay... it's started to feel better until you punched it and doubled the pain even more"

"I'm sorry..." Queen start facing him, feeling guilty but he's still not facing her... "I'm just... freaked out... from what happen"

He bit his lip, feeling anxious. He knew she kissed him; of course he see and feel it, wide awake. And he has high hopes that maybe he'll confess to her, or maybe it's not the right time or it is the right time. But she kissed him that's a good option.

Queen gripped her knees, feeling nervous or scared. She can't believe that she did that; the kiss she gave him. She just supposed to kiss him on the lips, to savour her feelings, to soothe or to calm her down from all that is happening without him knowing, but it's so much worst for her that he's already wide awake, he knows that she kissed him.

Queen thought, maybe that she'll talk on a different subject, to forget the kissing is never hapen, it won't be akward or break this paused of silence. "Joker... I have a decision... or something to tell you..."

Joker start to facing her, slowly. He saw her nervous face, fidgeting her fingers.

"I... think... well, I decided to become a Phantom thief"

Joker's eyes widend in shock. Like completely shock. Hearing that Queen, becoming a phantom thief, was even more beyond surprised to his life.

Joker seems hesitate, he didn't have any words to say "But... are you sure? What about your country?"

Queen lowered her head "Well.... I don't much I can do, Joker... The country of Emerald is really small and has no allies to help us... I don't think I could take it..."

"But... A Phantom Thief? Are you sure your okay with your decision, Queen?"

Queen nodded "Yes... Joker, I made up my mind, and someday, I'll become the best Phantom thief!" she stand up to him, confidently.

Joker watched her in awe and inspiration. Seeing her so confident and happy made him no choice to accept it. He's glad to see Queen's being old Queen like before, a challenging one.

Joker smirked at her, like he's challenging her "If you really that good... how can you do it all those tricks I have and even masters of escapes too."

"Don't worry, your Master Silver Heart will trained me. I'll already ask him if he's okay to have another apprentice to teach... and besides, I think it'll be done for my training atleast 2 to 3 months, thanks to my swords skills" she said confidently.

"You know, his training will be very hard and brutal" feeling shivers in his body, recalling when he trained with Spade. Those trainings are the most brutal and scariest things with thier lives.

Queen scoffed "Don't worry, I handle brutal things, you know"

Hearing that, made Joker feel happy for her and for himself. Seeing Queen like this, so competitive just like he first met her.

"Were going to be rivals, huh Queen"

Queen nodded "Yeah... I geus we're going to be...."

Joker sigh mentally... I geus I could confess to her later, for the right time... he just want her to be live freely first, making new friends and rivals should keep her happy and some company to forget all her troubles for a while.

The door swiftly open, as Spade enters the room as he points out the door "Hey... Master said he had some announcement"

Joker arched his brow "What announcement?"

He shrugged his shoulders, have no idea shat it was.

"YOU'RE ADOPTING QUEEN?!!"

Joker and Spade shouted in unson, both surprised about their Master's announce. He's literally adopted the former Princess of Emerald as his Granddaughter and Queen is okay with it.

"You're joking, right?!" Spade said, not believing what he heard.

"I'm not joking, I just really need some company, even though I have Roko... and I'm a single man and I really wanted a grandkid for so long..." he chuckled, scratching his head, embarrass.

Joker sweatdrop, cringely smiled at him, twitching his the corner of his eye "You only do that because you need someone to help your tricked darn back..."

"Yeah.... I agreed with Joker..." Spade agree.

"Heheheh... well that's a little 10 percent a bit true, and she also wants to become a Phantom thief" he said to also made Spade surprised.

He glanced at Queen with a confused or questioned look "You're decided to be a Phantom thief?"

Queen nodded, smiled "Yeah... maybe I need some a pace of a lifetime for me"

Spade nodded then Silver Heart held out his fist, infront of his adopted granddaughter, made her confused.

"What are you doing?" Queen pointed his clenched hand.

Sulver heart smiled genuinly "Oh... just a present for you" he appeared a beautiful green shape diamond necklace hanging on his fingers. "It's for you... this is kinda my first treasure I stole on my first heist of being a Phantom thief... and I want you to have it"

Queen looked at the necklace in awe, eyes sparkled to see a perfect beautifull necklace. Silver Heart help her put the necklace around her neck. She feel her heart flutter.

"Thank you Sil- I mean Grandpa!"

Silver Heart mentally squeled in joy, blushing, hearing Queen saying 'Grandpa' to him was a dream come true for him. But he didn't know he squeled physically made Joker, Spade and Roko cringely sweatdrop seeing their Master's actions.

"Why is he squelling like that?" Joker said.

"I have no idea... but I never seen Master so happy..." Spade exclaimed then glanced at Joker "So... what happen to you and Queen in your room, I heard you two started screaming earlier"

Joker hesitated a bit, recalling the she kissed him, on the lips, wide awake, without her knowing. He quickly looked away, not facing Spade, trying to stop the small blush on face and he succesful did it.

Spade leaned in, waiting for an answer. He know there's something going on. "Well... What.... Just admit that you like her or did you confess to her or something..." said in a minimum voice, not hearing everyone in the room except Joker.

Joker blinked twice, looked at him, pretending to be confused at him "What are you talking about?"

Spade sigh, smiled at him a bit of disappoitment "You never admit, huh?"

"Admit what exactly?"

Spade shook his head "No... never mind that..."
