Chapter 22

A month pass and Queen is sat on her bed reading history books about the King Henry VII. She's bored inside the palace including her room, and her father forbid her to go out without an escort or a gaurd since the incident a month ago.

This is so boring...

Queen place her book on the nightstand and groan as she lazily lay down on her bed, remembering that day that her father didn't allow her to go out. She hated that day, including that knight.

I really hate that knight...

"Queen, is it true that someone broke in to your room?" The king demandedly ask her daughter.

"Wah?..."

Next to her father is one of the knights who had barged in her room because of the broken railings on the balcony or the intruder. The knight felt guilty he quickly bow his head in shame. He had promise her to keep quiet but he cannot lie to the king.

"My apoligise Princess, I had no choice, I cannot lied to his majesty"

She was beyound shock with boiled anger, she had a little doubt that one of the knights were talk to her father. Of course they've never lied to the royalty, it's in their oaths. She will talk to him later.

Queen swallowed heavily, she didn't have any excuesd so she nodded honestly "Y-yes father..."

The king sigh heavily in disappointment "Queen... why didn't you said about last two nights ago? Whatever happens to you, I don't know a damn thing to do about this?!" He throw his arms in the air frustrated the last part.

"I don't want too because I know you'll give an extra security or wattnot it is!...." she already how overprotectetive her father is; since because she's the only heir to the thrown and his only beloved child in this world.

"Well indeed I am! Starting today, you'll never set a foot outside the Palace without an escort or a guard with you"

He declared that made Queen crushed her soul. There is no way in the world that she's going out with a gaurd or an escort watching behind her of her personal things and everywhere she goes. No way José!

"Papa, I don't need a guard or an escort, I'm capable taking care of myself! I'm safe too when I go to Paris with Jack-"

"And do you know that there's a heist in Paris too!"

"I wasn't in the science convention that night! I went the convention that morning!" Queen said defencely but didn't changed her father's mind.

"Queen, this is for your own good! I cannot allow you to go out alone... even that scar boy-"

"Its Jack" she corrected.

"That Jack boy..." he corrected, he can't evan say the boy's name because he's too stress "I won't allow you to see him, it's too dangerous when you with him outside"

"What?" That made her heart crumble. There's no way that her father do that too far. "But... Papa, you can't do this, how can I-"

"You should contact him with text or whatever you do to keep him in touch..." he said he pinched in ridge of his nkse and waved them away "this conversation is over, the both you out... I need my head to rest"

The two nodded and walk out to his study. The knight closed the door and glanced at the princess, who was lowering her head not seeing her face. He felt guilty, he promise to her to keep quiet about that night, but he cannot lie to the king.

He swallowed heavily "U-uhm... your hig-"

"Meet me at the training yard at 3" she grumbles made him jolted in fear.

The knight sweating fear if he heard what she saids "W-what, your highness?" he squeak

Queen whiply looked at him with her sharp diamond eyes at him "I said.... meet me at the training yard at 3... we have a sparring match, and don't be late" she snarled at him then left, living him with shakiness sweating in fear.

He gulped in fear....

I'm dead...

Well he's not totally dead, he got some bruises on his face, a broken arm, a crack rib and a sprain leg. The doctor saids he will back on his feet within 2 or 3 months.

As for Queen, she stay in her palace for a whole boring months; training with her sword, studying, and training some royalties stuff. After what happen with her father, she contacted Joker about what happen, including that she didn't allowed to go outside and even with him.

He felt guilty, his heart ached because she can't see Queen face-to-face. He apologise to her many times but she forgiven. Even though she forgives him, he didn't have a chance to confess with her; he had a bit of an idea to confess his feelings through letters or phones, but he thinks is not perfect to confess.

He hads a better and risky idea but he hope that someone won't get his way.

"Hey... Hachi, I'm gonna confess to Queen this week, thursday!"

Hachi's eyes widend in glee with anxiousness. "I'm happy for you Mr. Joker... but aren't you not gonna see her because her dad and this week on thursday will be our dinner party here with Mr. Spade and Mr. Silver... will it be risky?"

Joker nodded "I have too, Hachi, I'm gonna invite her the dinner party and confess on top of the sky joker..."

"How?... she cannot go outside and if she want too, she cant go outside without a gaurd"

"I'm gonna help her sneak out the palace... it's risky but I don't care... it's my last chance"

He don't care if it's risky, he don't care that his master and rival to witness it - if Hachi try to hold them back - including Queen's parents.

He'll have to do it.
