The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 21

"Alright, Mr. Joker... all you have to do is say 'I love you' and that's it!"

Joker keep replaying that Hachi saids before he went out to see Queen. He is now on top of the roof of Palace of emerald right beneath of Queen's balcony.

He peek down below to check if she's down there on the balcony, and there she was, standing waiting for him. Joker step back a bit swallowed heavily and try to calm himself.

He patted both of his cheeks trying to calm and be confident like he always do every heist.... calm yourself... until an little floating Hachi pop out infront of hus face.

"You have to do this Mr. Joker! Just say 'I love you!"

He knew that his head start to imagine of Hachi floating, cheering him like an angel who cheering his gaurdian for his incouragment. Because of his mental nervousness problems he's start to imagining things and it didn't help him, it makes him more irratated.

"I know that, Hachi" Joker hiss quietly at imaginary Hachi "and I didn't even bring my phone to, because of sudden interruptions for my confession to her"

Little Hachi hum, nodded. "That's good but remember to be confident!"

Joker arched his brow "What about you.... you didn't feel confident over Ai, you always blushing and all goo goo eyes on her"

Little Hachi slump his shoulders, sweatdrop "can we stop talking about myself and stay focused on your confees your love to the Princess... besides she's standing down there in the middle of the cold night waiting for you...." he float over the edge and glanced at Queen, waiting with shivering cold "look at her down there... she's waiting for you..."

Joker peek down at her. She's standing and waiting dor him in the balcony. He sigh and nodded, ready for his confession. "Alright Hachi...."

Little Hachi smiled and disappear with a puff of smoke. Joker jump off the roof and land safely at the balcony. Queen jump back a little from his unexpected entrance, she was shock that he do that to her; of course he do that all the time.

"Good evening, Queen" Joker greeted as he tilted his hat.

Queen crosses her arms and grin "good evening and also good morning to you to.... you know, you give me a bit of a heart attack here when you jump off the roof and land right infront of me!" She hiss a bit.

Joker scratched his head and take of his hat "sorry about that, I'm just feel nervous tonight.... and I have something for you..." he shove his hand inside the hat and pull out a boquet of marigolds "I know you love these so..."

He gave her the flowers, made her blush. She already know that since she write that on her letters about her likes and dislikes. Her skip a beat as she smell of marigolds, sweet and gentle aroma.

She smiled and flushed behind the marigold, not wanting to see her face infront of Joker. Joker rubbing his neck and slowly sat on the marble railing.

"Queen..."

Queen glanced at Joker with an admiring face and a bit of anxious and concern... why she's so anxious about?... he thoughtly confused... nevermind just go with it.

"This pass month... I was thinking when... whenever I've with you... Is that... uhmm?" He swallowed nerversly.

Queen is flattered and made her flutter but she's start to feel scared and anxious, she just have to tell Joker before he start to make trouble. She was about to speak but Joker said another word....

"I was thinking that... who you are to me..."

Queen's heart start to beat fast, she just wanted to hug him so much but a part of her wants to say something... "Joker...."

Joker continue "and I realize that since these pass months that I... huh?"

Until a huge crack on the marble railing start to collapse. Joker noticed it so he quickly back off the railing, including Queen off the balcony and went inside her room. Joker sigh with huff as part of the marble railing's gone are now on the ground.

Queen look over Joker "are you okay?"

He nodded and breathe "yeah.... what was that about? About the railing?" He pointed at the broken railing on her balcony.

"I was about to warn you but you still talking about us... and I really want to warn you really like want to... but... "she bashfully fidgeting her dress "the way you said about us this pass month about.... who you are to me?... I'm thinking the same way...."

"Really"

She look up to Joker on his shimmering blue eyes, the same eyes that she admired "Yeah...."

Joker shakily said "then... who am I to you?".... Wait a minute... this is other way around but... I just want to know!!

Queen swalloed heavily "Joker... I want you to know... that I.... I-"

*BANG*

Two knights burst in the doors with a huff, out of breath. The reason that those knights are now in her room because they've heard the falling debrease - the broken railings - near the Queen's room and they immediately ran if she's in trouble or hurt.

"Your highness... are you okay?" He breathely said.

"Wait... who are you?" The other said without checking Joker's face.

Without saying a word, Joker quickly escaped; he ran to the window and jump off. The knights went after him but they're too late. They look around but Joker is nowhere in sight.

The knights walk up to Queen ask if she's alright. She immediately snapped at them ignoring their concern about her. She ask  them to not telling about her parents about the incident including the "intruder". Of course they've both nodded immediately because they're both scared of her like mice.

Joker collapsed in his bed, irratated. He grab the his pillow covered his face and scream in frustration. After what happen in the palace was the most annoyingly, frustrated, and Best?.... thing of his life.

"Why did have to be like this" he said throgh the pillow, tiredly.

He really want to confess to her and he just want to know who she is to him. He thought that maybe she was going to confess like a friend or more than friends. He has so many doubts or questions in his head.

His bedroom door suddenly open, he glanced whoever disturbed him, and it's was Hachi, in his pajamas, rubbing his eyes tiredly. Joker groan, covered his face with his pillow, mumble ramdomly.

"From the frustration look on your face... it didn't end well" Hachi said tiredly.

"Point taken" He mumble through the pillow.
