The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 7

After what happen last night, Queen still thiking looking at the letter and the boquet of flowers of Joker gave to her last night as a piece offering. She smiled amwith a blush on her cheeks, feeling her heart flutter as she look at those flowers.

She already put in her vase beside her bedside. And right now, this afternoon, she's in her desk, drumming her fingers, thinking what could give something for Joker. She look at the note, written on it.

What could something I give to him

Her thoughts stop when he heard a knock on her door.

"Who is it?" She called.

"It's your favourite personal maid, Princess!"

Queen smiled, as she hide the note from the drawers under her desk "You may come in"

Her maid enter the room with a sweet smile on her face and bow Queen, respectfully. "Good afternoon, Princess... I came here to get your dirty laundry here"

"Oh yes... of course, they're right over there" she point to her luandry right beside her covered screen.

Her maid nodded, then do her task. She stop her tracks when she a beautiful boquet of flowers, beside her bedside table.

"Those flowers are lovely... who gave it to you, princess?" She asked then she squeled in excitement "Is it some boy?!"

Queen furiously shook her head and arms, blushing "No it's not from a boy! I just pick them up from Mama's garden!"

Her maid blinked in confused "so... you pick those flowers on your Mother's garden... you know, you can't allowed to pick them up"

Queen nervously chuckled, she know she can't allowed to pick her mother's flowers on her garden. She work so hard to plant it. "Yeah... but don't tell her please"

"Heheh... okay, were friends after all"

Queen is surprised, the word friend strucked her. She's never had a friend since, since ever. Then her thoughts back on Joker, maybe she give him something, for them selves.

"Are you okay... Princess? You seem thinking too hard?" She said concerned as she hold the laundry basket.

"No nothing... just get out my room... I have a personal things to do" Queen exclaimed quickly as she oush her maid out of her room "tell my parents I'm busy with something, okay!" She close the door then went back to her desk, ready her pen and paper started to right something.

"Hahahahah... we made it out! And we got the Moon pearl without a fuss!"

Joker is back to his old self. He and Hachi want to steal Mr. Kaneiri's Moon pearl this afternoon and they succesfully stole it. Many running, chasing and escaping one of his dangerous traps was a hustle for them. But it was fun and full of adrenaline.

Hachu sacarstically laughed at him "Without a fuss huh? It took us 3 whole hours Joker!"

"Heheh... " He scratcged his then his start to feel hungry, he rub his tummy in hunger, groaning "Hachi can you cook something?"

Hachi salute in agree and ready his apron "Of course Mr. Joker!" He start to chop the potatoes "I'm glad your back to your old self... I'm kinda missed it"

"Yeah I really am! I geus your planned work!" Joker exclaimed as he wipe the Moon pearl, then he stop when he had so many doubts on his mind "what if it didn't?! What if she just bring in it inside to throw the flowers away... or or" he started rambling all over again, freaked out.

Hachu start to worried, really worried and freaking out at the same time. He don't want to get Joker like that again. Not again!

"Oh No No No... uh... what about you give the present to her... face-to-face!"

Joker stop rambling then quickly stand up, confidently, feeling hyped up. "Yeah... maybe I will!..." then he suddenly slumped down, gloomy "No... that won't work... she'll easily punch me in the face when she did that..."

Hachi sigh as he look at him, this the first time to see Joker like this. But Hachi is never give because as apprentice he will be there with Joker every step of the way.

"It'll work Joker!"

"Are you really that sure?"

"Of course! Talk to her will you! Use your Miracles!"

It was night time in the Palace  of Emerald. Joker is running on the top of the roof top wanting to visit the Princess of Emerald. He just want to talk to her, that made him a bit nervous.

He's jump of the roof and land safely right on Queen's balcony. He already memorize the floor plans of this palace including outside, as Phantom thief, always be prepare before they strike.

Joker look at the balcony glass door, in the other side, in her room, was covered by a green curtain, never seeing her room. He raise his fist ready to knock the door but he didn't.

He sigh, feeling like a loser. He leaned to the railing silently groaning, feeling exusted. He thinks is a bad idea coming here, no way that the princess could talk to him. In the corner og his eye, he saw a white letter with a beautiful curved letters with the word 'Joker' on it.

His eyes wide in surprised as he quickly open the letter, and it realise that it was come from Princess Queen.

Dear Kaitou Joker

I write this letter for two reasons.... first of all I hate you, for doing tricks on me that night. I never forgive you, porcupine headed magician trickster! I feel this urge to punch you that night.... like really want to.

Joker sweatdrop nervously, fearing that she's going to attack her any moment right now. Good thing she's not, she's sound asleep tonight because is middle of the night. He quickly shook his head and back to read the note.

And secondly, thank you for the flowers and it's really beautiful, I really want  something to give for you as return... so was thinking we could be friends... even though you stole our family gem but you woun't seem so bad so I just to know you more... as friends.

Joker smiled with aflutter on his chest. The princess wanted to be friends with him. He had hope that it will a start for them.

He quickly grab his advance notice and a pen and start writing.

Queen is peacefully asleep until she woke up whe she heard a tapping noice on her balcony door. She thought is was an intruder so sge quickly wear her robe and grab her sword.

She open her balcony door ready to strike but she didn't someone or something except theres a note on the marbled balcony railing.

She recognised the note so she quickly grab the notice and read. Knowing that it was comes from Joker and she's immediatly read the note.

Hey Princess, I'm glad that you write something for me... and you want to be friends with me, a thief. I accept your offer and I really want to know you better too.

Hoping we should talk more but we could communicate through letters... just for safety. And thank you, Friend

Kaitou Joker

Queen smiled happily, feeling her heart skipped a beat, that Joker accept her offer or a gift of friendship. She's had hope that maybe they can more than friends...

But this is just only the beginning.
