The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 4

Queen was in her room, wearing her nightgown laying her bed deep in thought. After Joker left, Queen and her father having a long conversation, her father really disapointed of her actions but atleast his glad that she's safe. That was he cares about.

Queen stirred to the left try to be comfortable, trying to sleep. Everytime she close her eyes she pictured a two blue orbs starring at her; it making her frustrated.

Queen sat up in bed patted her cheeks shake her head.

"Did Joker put something on me?"

The next morning, Queen and her parents eating breakfast together. The couple feel disapointed that they're not succesfully  protect the emerald.

The king told her wife about the events last night including Queen's actions. But atleast she's safe and it matters for them.

The queen look at her daughter, seems fazed off, she just eating slowly like she's has no appetite. She thought that her daughter thinking about not succesfully got the gem, like a failure.

"Queen.. are you okay?"

Queen look up to her mother "nothing mama.... I'm fine"

"Is it about the emerald, Queen... if it is, we should try to move on, that's all" the king said giving her a soft smile.

Queen nodded and continue eating "so what's for dessert?... any strawberries?"

"No my darling gem, just blueberry pie for today" her mother sadly smile

Queen pouted "Why?.."

"We're gonna save those strawberries for your birthday next week....  you said your theme will be everything strawberries" she explained make Queen blush nervously scratching her head.

As the pie has been served, Queen grab her fork ready to eat but she suddenly stop, when she stared at the pie filled with blueberries. Blueberries. Blue .

A picture of pure blue eyes flash in her mind make her blush madly. She stabbed the vision in her mind; more like murderesly killing it.

Queen snapped back to reality, look at her pie scattered over her almost broken plate. She look at her parents surprised from her destroying the pie. Queen blushed in embarras.

"Dear.... uh.. are you alright...?" Her father stammered "you don't.... like the pie?"

"Oh... n-no no no... I like the pie..." She take a fork, scoop some oh her pie, eat it and smile nervously to her parents.

The couple look at thier daughter a bit furrowed thier brows then back to eating thier pie.

Queen sigh and look at the pie she destroying it then suddenly, her mind start to play tricks on her. Again. She invision the plate with scattered pie turn into a face she familliar with. It's Joker. Smiling mischiviously at her.

She's fuming red with cringed, push the plate away from her and she quickly stand up "I think... I don't have the appetite to eat... excuse me"

She ran living her concerned parents. When she walk in the hall, she patted her cheeks furiously to stop her blushing face.

What in the world just happen to me!!

This afternoon, Queen was in the training yard, sparring with some of the knights. Its the only way to forget her thoughts about him. It did work. She completely forgot about the spiky silver-blue hair thief.

A couple of knights to spar later, she sat and rest on the bench, drink a bottle of water and look up to the sky.

"The weather is really beautifull today...." she smiled at that thought "The sky is so clear, so bright.... so blue...." she thought until a memory flashed to her mind.

"Well, looks like I gotta go...." Joker run to the broken window, he stop and look at Queen give her a soft smile "it's fun fighting with you" he wink making her heart skip a beat.

She blush madly when she recall that memory, a while ago she forgot about him to cure her condition and now, that thief come back to her mind. Again.

She shake her head frustrated; so frustrated, she throw her practice sword so hard, the sword sticking on to the wall almost hitting the trainee's head, shivered in fear sweating then fainted.

Queen take a deep breath and sigh. She peered to her shoulder to see some of the knights looking at her, shivered in fear.

"What are you looking at?!!" She yelled making them scurried off.

Queen sat down then sigh deeply massage her head. "What's wrong with me today?"

"Are you alright, your highness?"

She look up to see her personal maid look concerned to her. She look down shyly.

"I don't know..." Queen mumble, then look at her maid "my mind playing tricks on me... everytime I see color blue or heard the word blue... that idiot!.... suddenly appeared in my mind"

The maid blink in confuse "Are you saying that you hate the color blue?"

"N-no... it's not that...." she look down nervously, she need to explain to her maid about her condition " it's that.... uhmm... my mind start to see flashes about the boy I met... my heart start to beat so fast and its making me... " she wave her hands if there's more something to say but she sigh in defeat.

The maid blink twice then she smiled at her, feeling proud for her "So.. that means you have a crush on him?"

Queen quickly stood up surprised she just heared."C-crush?!... there is no way in my entire life that I have crush on that idiotic trikster!!" She mentally screamed.

She shook her head, denying her maid's answer "no... I don't really think so!"

"Are you sure your highness?... the fast heart beat, the blushing and you never stop thinking about him... it looks like a crush to me" She explained making Queen unfazed

It's night time, Queen lay on her bed looking to the ceiling feeling embarras and frustrated; recalling that she almost broke another plate and she even bent  some of the utensils. Her parents talk to her after dinner if she is alright. Queen said she's fine she told them its just stress. They sigh and agreed.

Right now, she's laying on her bed thinking what her maid had just said.

So.. that means you have a crush on him?

That sentence will stuck in her mind forever. She ask to herself; did she really have a crush on Joker?

Queen never having an any interested in any boys she met, including those princes that she talk or chat with; those princes are a bunch of idiots.

But the only idiot, in her mind, it's different, she heard or watch about him on the news. Everyone called him the miracle maker or infamous phantom thief. He even saved her life that night and even find a way to land themselves safely. That's when it start when she met his mesmerizing eyes for the first time. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw those eyes.

Queen fuming "There is no way I have a crush on that... spikey head magician that I didn't know his real name is.... with those blue... mesmerizing eyes, hiding his cute face with his purple......." she trailed off realize she's blabbering herself.

Queen grabbed her pillow covering her face and screaming. Can't believe to herself. A whole day she can't take off her mind about him and now she's blabbering about him, mentally.

Queen remove her pillow off of her face and thought back that her maid just said. She sigh and accepted it.

She's right... I really do have crush on him....

And it's scareds her.
