The Princess and the Kaitou

Chapter 1

In the dining room, it was lunch time for the family of emerald, they were on an uncomfortable silence because the news about the a phantom thief is going after thier family gem and they really not sattisfied about it.

"So... a phantom thief will going our Emerald, huh?" The queen said

The king sigh and nodded at his wife "we have to make sure that this palace is well gaurded and also the treasure room... and I'm going to protect the gem too" he explained.

A young princess with a long blond hair and rare diamond eyes stand up, make the couple look at her daughter, thier beloved Queen Emerald.

"I wanna help too, papa" she said

Her father shook his head "I'm sorry my darling gem, but this is going to be dangerous"

"Papa, I'm capable of doing dangerous things... I even master swordsmanship too" she said with hands on her hip.

When she was the age of seven, she started interested in sword fighting when she watch all the knights sparring and practicing thier swords or any kind of weapons.

She begged her parents that she want to practice sword fighting but they refuses many times until they gave in and accepted it, they just want thier precious daughter to be happy.

For many years in training she finally mastered it.

"Sorry dear, but your father is right, what if that thief is going to hurt you?" Her mother worried.

"But mama, papa..."

"Queen... I'm sorry but this is your own good" her father said.

Queen sigh deeply and sat down on her table continue eating.

Sorry papa I'm not going to wait and do nothing... I'm going to protect the family gem, even it's the last thing I do.

In the sky joker, a young ninja, Hachi, cooking curry for his dear master and friend. He put the two plates of curry on the table; one for him and one for joker.

Huh... Mr. Joker is late today... must be he still study the security in the palace.

Hachi was about to start to eat, Joker enter the room with huge happy grin on his face. Joker sat down in his chair and start eating his curry.

"Uh... hello, sir" Hachi sweatdrop

"Oh... hi, Hachi... what is it?" Joker said still eating even though there's curry in his mouth.

"Well.... you just enter the room with a huge grin on your face and start eating curry without saying hello to me or anything"

"Well I just excited... because it's going to be an easy hiest tonight, Hachi" Joker shrugged confidently

"Easy?"

"Yeah... they're just double the security and wattnut"

"That's it?... just double the security, no traps or anything?" Hachi said

"Well.... the palace of Emerald is just like a maze so it's easier to get loss, it's a good thing I memorize every floors in the palace a while ago... so you must stick with me, okay?"

"Sure thing, Mr. Joker" Hachi salute happily and start to eat. "What are they called the Lighting Emerald anyway?"

"It's a type emerald that only glows when a new member of the royal family of Emerald will be born" Joker ezplained

"Wow... That is a really pretty neat gem" Hachi chew a bit of food then swallowed"So what's the plan, huh?"

Joker grinned

They have 30 minutes when Kaitou Joker arrives, all knights and gaurds are on thier places, watching any sign of unusual things or someone.

Four knights stand and gaurd the Lighting Emerald inside the treasure room; its a green gem that sealed a glass box container, the two knights look so tired and bored.

"What time is it, anyway?" The knight said and yawned

His friend look at the clock tiredly "uh.. I think its 8:45"

He nodded and sigh"15 more minutes to go".

In the hallway, the king went to her daughter's bedroom. Knowing Queen, she's a bit stubborn and even rebellious, so he had hunch that she's gonna sneak out and protect the gem on her own.

As he enter his daughter's room, he saw a lump under the blanket. He thinks she's sleeping, but he doubt that they're just fakes; put a couple of pillows under the blanket.

He gets closer to his daughter's bed and rip out the blanket. His doubt was wrong, it really is her daughter sleeping.

"Mhmm... " Queen open her eyes "papa what are you doing, its cold"

"Sorry dear I thought you were..."

"You thought that I'm gonna sneak out?..." Queen grinned then she look at him with a soft smile. "I'm not going to protect the family gem because its dangerous just like you said... I'll be fine papa, I just be in my bed sleeping"

He nodded, tuck her in bed and kiss her on the forehead saying goodnight then leave her room, closing the door.

After the king leaves the room, Queen quickly stand up and change her training outfit.

I'm sorry papa... I'm going to protect our family gem from that burgler

As she finnish wear her clothes, she tide her hair into pigtails and grab her sword, she open door that leads to her balcony, and look at the full moon.
