Chapter 10

"Don't call me princess anymore... call me Queen"

Joker blinked his eyes in a bit of shock, can't believe his ears were hearing. "Are you... really sure... That I can addressing you.. by your name?"

"Well... I already know your real name.... so I think it could be better when you say my name, right?... and besides it's... kinda rude.. you know" She explained while fidgeting her fingers nervously, hoping he agrees.

Joker smile genuine at her "Sure... Queen"

Hearing those, when Joker said her name, make her heart flutter, its felt right for her.

The two start thier conversation; about thier likes, dislikes, hobbies, things they wanted to do, and Joker making some jokes on her. They felt like they're in thier own world, wishing it won't never end.

The two were sitting on the bench, star gazing. Thier hands barely touch. Joker noticed it, he move his hand and put it on top of hers, squeeze gently. Queen felt it, she look at her hand hold by Joker's, then she look at him, make him facing away, blushing. Queen also blushing, facing away in embarrasment.

They're on uncomfortable silence, even though they barely heard some music in the ballroom. But then Joker stand up and offer her a hand.

"Wanna... dance with me.... Queen?"

Queen look at Joker's hand then to him, make her skipped a beat. She nodded and take Joker's hand to help her stand up.

Joker put his other hand to her waist, then Queen put her hand to Joker's shoulder. They both start to waltz, even though they barely heard the music, but it's felt right for them. Queen notice how good Joker know to waltz

Never knew that idiot know how to waltz like this...

"Say... Mr. Jones.....I didn't know you're good at this.." Queen tesing him, make him blush, still waltzing.

"I have some help... I didn't know how to dance like this...."

"Oh really... who's helping you how to waltz?" Queen arch her brows

"Uhmm..."

While in the sky joker, a day before Queen's birthday. Joker told Hachi about the party. Then he ask Hachi to help him to pratice how to waltz. But it's really embarrasing for Hachi

"Okay... Hachi... are you ready?

Hachi nodded lazily, sweatdrop, using image gum turning himself as the princess "Do you think... that I can be like the princess, sir?.... maybe I can image gum a taller version of me?!"

"Hey... you know how it's kinda weird and embarrasing to dance with a boy!!.." Joker protest

Hachi sigh "So... why me anyway?... maybe ask Mr. Spade to practice with you... or even Miss Ai as your dancing partner"

"Well... first of all; I don't want Spade to know that I have a crush on someone... he will be like... 'Hey, Joker, I never knew you were such a lovey dovey softy type of a person you are'... and I don't like that!!..." he yelled the last part then he continue "and secondly; I dont want you to get all crybaby much because that I dance with your idol crush.." He explain

"Oh... heheh.." Scratches head in embarrasment, nervously smile

Joker recall that memory, cringely, he don't want to tell her like that, it will embarras himself and even, what would Queen think if he tell her.

"Uhmm.... S-spade.. tought me" Joker flush as they waltz

Queen nodded, she knew he lied but she don't want to ruined thier moment.

As the music stop, they both stop dancing still holding each other. The two deeply look at each other underneath the starry night sky. Thier heart start to beat fast, lost in thier world. Starting to develop this new oddly feelings

They both realize something... It's not a crush anymore... it's love.

Without thinking, they're both start to lean in close, closing thier eyes then...

Joker's phone start to ring making them jolt and let go off each other facing away. Joker grab his phone from his pocket, look at the I.D. number. It was his master, Silver Heart.

Joker grip his phone.. what did he want this time.... he sigh then she glanced at Queen still facing away from him... did she lean on me or it's just my imagination... he thought

"Hello, master" he answered

"Can... you help... me please"

Joker start to worried "what's wrong master?"

"I-it's... my darn back again... I'm stuck in this damn position Joker!" hearing this making him annoyed

"Why me?... can't you just.. called Spade to help you.. or even Roko?"

"Spade is on a hiest at Canada... and how could Roko can save me?... he's a dog and didn't have any vehicle to come and saved me?!.... I'm in a million miles away of him from my house!!" Hearing this, had no choice to help

"Okay... where were you?" Joker sigh

"I'm at Sydney Opera house in Australia!... hurry up will you!!" Joker nodded and ended the call, putting his phone inside his pocket.

"Looks like I'm leaved early... my master is stuck.... again" he sigh heavily and sadly smile

"You're leaving, huh?..." returned him with sad smile

Joker felt guilty, then he realise his forgeting something. A present. Joker actually brought a present to her, he need give it to her before he left.

He quickly searching his jacket and finally found what he was looking for, he grabbed a perfecty wrapped pink small box with a fushia ribbon.

"Here... Queen... I forgot to give this to you in the first place... when I got here.." handed her the small box, flushed.

Queen grab the small box, then he gazed at Joker with a happy smile "Thank you... " then she smirk teasingly "did you stole it?"

"I'm not stole it... a phantom thief can only stole the most valuable things..." he protest then he suddenly shyly look away, blushing "I actually not bought it in shops... I actually made it.."

Queen was surprised the she bashfully look at the gift "Wow... thank you... thank you so much"

Joker gazed at her nervously "Aren't you gonna.. open it?"

"Maybe later after the party is over... aren't you gonna saved your Master?"

"Oh right..." he turn walk away then he suddenly stop midstep, then he ran into Queen, hugging her. Queen is surprised, no one even hug her like that; except her parents, but it feels right for her. She hug him back feeling happy.

As they ended thier hug, Joker waved her goodbye then he leaved

The party is already over at midnight, all the geust were leaving and the wokers start to cleaning the whole ballroom.

Queen was in her room, on her nightgown. She sat on her bed, leg crosses, looking at a small gift that Joker gave her. All other presents where on the corner of her room; she'll open it later.

As she promised; Queen unwrapped the gift, carefully, taking off the lid. Her eyes wide open in admire; it's a pink diamond hairpin with two strips of pink ribbon.

She smiled as she put the hairpin on her hair; She'll write a thank you letter to him first thing in the morning. Before she's get ready to sleep, she found something inside the unwrapped box; it was a card from Joker.

She found something written on the back of the card and read it. Queen was stunned, can't believe she's reading it.

It was Joker's phone number.
