Chapter 28

Shadow shoot with his bloody rain, but Joker dodged the attack. Shadow quickly ran to him and swing his umbrella but he was block to Joker's trump cards.

The two continue fighting, clasing each other, Joker steped back to dodge the umbrella "Shadow! Stop... what did I ever do to you?!"

Shadow gritted his teeth, clenched his fist "You know what have you had done!" He thrust his umbrella but he quickly doged it.

Joker jump back and throw his cards swiftly, Shadow dodged and perry it then he shoot red beams at him, Joker dodged it but his cape tare a hole.

"Shadow stop it! We don't have much time here!" He said as he block from Shadow's attack.

"I know that! I just wanted to end this, right here, Jack!"

Joker eyes wide in surprised, cutting him off gaurd when Shadow said his real name. Before he could said anything he felt a pain on his shoulder. He realize that Shadow hit him from his bloody rain at him. He collapse on ground, grip his shoulders to stoped the blood from spilling out.

He watched as Shadow step forward to him, gripping his umbrella and point it on Joker's face.... this is for my Rose... Shadow thought charging up his bloody rain, ready to shoot Joker.

"ICE SHOT!"

A beam of ice hit on Shadow's umbrella and it turns frozen solid. Joker knows whoose voice and that ice beam are; it was Spade.

Spade throw his card at Shadow but he quickly dodge back it until he heard calling on his earpiece.... "Tch.."

Shadow... return to the airship immediately, I already have the treasure

The call ended made Shadow scoff at it... that old man... he thoughtly grumbled and ran, leaving the two Kaitous alone.

Spade help Joker stand up carefully without dammaging his injury.... "Good thing I came here unexpectedly.... this place is a maze and I got lost for crying out loud...." He put Joker's arm around his shoulder to support him... then continue added "geez your way more heavy... is Hachi's cooking really that good?" He said jokingly, gently jogged. Well he admit Hachi's cooking is good, he don't know which on is a better cook - Ai's or Hachi's.

Joker scoffed at him then grunt in pain on his shoulder "Shut up will you! And we don't have much time he- gah!"

"What do you mean?"

"This whole palace is going to explode any minute! And we don't know where Queen is or her pa-"

Spade cut off "don't worry she's safe... she's with Master and he said they're in the sky joker..."

Joker sigh in relief but what about her parents, he glanced back at Spade with a worried and scared look "her parents... are they alright?"

Spade sadly shook his head "No... they're not make it when Master saw them with Queen"

Joker sadly sigh from the news and most of all Quern witness seeing her parents with her very own eyes. It's way more hurt that hearing the news of your parents death.

Joker silent the whole thing, Spade notice it and it worrieds him. "Joker... you okay?"

"I'm fine... it's hurt so much..."

Spade thought about his injured shoulder "I know..." he look around the hallway hearing a faint bang in the distance, the two gasp in fear. That faint bang mean it's already started "do you know where the nearest window is?"

Joker nodded and poinyed the way to escape. Carefully run fast as they can. Luckily they're escape out of the window with balloon gum before the explosion hits them.

"Here some green tea, Miss Queen" Ai said as she place a cup of yea on the table.

Queen is sitting on the couch, hugging her knees with a warm blanket drape over her shoulders. She's so quiet when she's arrive in the Sky Joker and she's really tired of crying. Ai is really worried to the Princess and even else in the room is worried too also.

Queen sigh trying to break the ice, she glanced at Silver Heart "Where's Joker?... and even Spade..." She already knew Joker and Spade came to the palace trying to rescue everyone.

Before he could ask, they interrupted when the door slidely open reveal Joker leaning over on Spade, for support. Queen gasp in shock and relief to see Joker is safe but except there's a patch of blood on his shoulder. She just want to hug him but she' frozed, felt scared seeing in his condition.

Hachi saw the injury, he quickly ran to them worriedly "Mr. Joker... What happen to you?!"

Joker flinched a bit of pain, feeling hazy and tired "I just got shot from.... Shadow..."

Everyone except Spade - who possibly know Shadow did to him - are surprisingling shock with anger and confused.

Silver Heart quickly said without any paused "What?!.. so that means, he's the one who caused all of that distruction?!"

Joker shook his head "No... he just came here because 'the old man' told him to come" seeing his visions began to get blurry, and his body began to get tired.

"Old man?.... You mean..."

Before he could said the last part, Joker collapse on the floor made everyone freaked out. Most of all Queen who still frozen in fear.

Everyone except Queen, Ai and Roko, went to helped Joker. The three sigh in relief that he's still breathing and his pulse is beating normally.

"Hachi go and get a first aid kit, a tub of water and some clean towels. Me and Spade will going to his room!" Silver Heart said as he and Spade carried Joker to his room.

Hachi nodded and ran through the cabinet to find what he needed and left the room, to follow Spade and Silver. As for Queen, she still frozen in fear and she's breathing heavily, trying to be calm.

Ai notice how Queen is getting tense, she quickly sit by her side, soothing her, trying to make her calm. Roko also came to her, jump on the couch and sat beside her, whimper to make her calm.

Queen glanced at the white dog. She know that Joker had a friend dog; a phantom thief dog. She smiled, looking at the cute white dog, patting his head, heloing herself to feel better and it really did.

"What's your name?" She cooed at him and glanced at his collar. She already know his name is, but she can't resists cute things.

"Oh! My name is Roko!" He said happily made Queen jolted in surprised

"Eh?"

"My name is Roko! I'm a phantom thief dog!"

Queen blink twice, cringely surprised what she just heard. She knows Joker told about him but he never told that he's....

"GAAAAHHH!!! THE DOG IS TALKING!!!"
