Chapter 41

"Hey Joseph. Have you, uhm, seen y/n anywhere?" He blushes at the question.

Joseph stares at him for a second before standing up and walking away quickly.

Okay... maybe I could just go to her house.

So he does.

He knocks lightly on the door, an older woman answers.

She smiles at him, "oh hello. You're Harry, aren't you?"

"Uh, yeah..."

"I'm y/m l/n."

"Oh right, you were at the dinner."

"Yes. Are you here for y/n?"

"Yeah. How did you-" she raises her and he stops talking.

She than winks and motions for him to come inside.

"Y/n! Someone is here to see you!"

"Joseph you really don't have to knock anymore! I gave you a key."

"You did what now?"

"Mom you told me to."

"Oh right."

"Anyways. Joseph did you..." she trails off and simply stares at Harry for a good five minutes. "You're not Joseph."

"Yeah... I've, uh, known that for a while now."

It's silent again. Y/n's mom awkwardly clears her throat.

"I'll be going now, you guys can go up and talk in your room, but leave the door open. I'm too young to be a grandmother."

"Mom! We aren't-"

"And if you do anything use protection!"

"I-"

"Have fun!"

"I shouldn't be talking to you."

"What? Why?"

"I can't say..."

"Well can we talk?"

"I guess... but make it quick. I'm supposed to be staying away from you."

Oh great. This isn't going to go well.

Harry's mind travels to the letter Hermione had sent him earlier this morning.

Dear Harry,

I hope it's going well with y/n, and if it's not it's most definitely your fault.

You haven't given be any information about you two and I would like to know if you've made a move yet.

If you haven't, you should. She's pretty and it's only a matter of time before she gets a boyfriend. Actually, if you don't do something soon, I'll ask her out.

Other than that, how has it been without me?
