"I trusted that Joseph guy with her and he doesn't get her here in time?"

"Can we just leave?" Ron asks.

Hermione sighs, "fine," they start to walk away from her house, "maybe the spell went very haywire and she's not even your soulmate."

He shrugs, "dunno."

"I'm sorry Harry. I shouldn't have forced you to do this."

"At least you get to ditch an awkward date." Ron offers.

"Not helping Ronald. He was just stood up on his first ever date. If it makes your feel better, Harry, you've had your first kiss and she probably hasn't."

"Let's talk about anything else."

"Joseph let me go!"

"Running away is not gonna stop this date. I don't care if I have to knock you out and drag you there. You're going."

"But-"

"Glad you're happy to go. Oh hey group of three."

He turns to Ron, "never got your name by the way," he looks him up and down, letting out a whistle, "your family must have some nice genes."

"U-uhm. It's Ron."

"Nice name. Anyways," he sets down y/n who he had been carrying again and turns to Harry, "here's your girlfriend."

"She's not-"

"You're late." Hermione replies.

"Yeah sorry about that. Had to drag her to the mall to get ready and then she ran away. But now here we are."

"Hmph. Fine, Harry." She pushes him up.

"'Mione I really don't-"

"Glad you're excited Harry hot stuff." Joseph cuts him off.

Y/n snorts, "hot stuff. Wow Joseph, you sure you don't wanna go on this date?"

"Oh I'd love to. But unfortunately I think Harry is straight."

"I think so too. Otherwise him and Ron might be dating." Hermione replies.

Joseph grins at her, "I like you."

"I like me too."

His grin widens in response.

"Well let's go on a date." Ron says.

"Yeah I'll be watching this date for entertainment."

"We will too."

"Awesome." Joseph replies.

Y/n nods, "you guys have fun." She turns on her heel and tries to run again.

Joseph simply grabs her, stopping her from escaping.

She gives a noise of complaint in response, "I don't wanna."

"I don't care." Joseph matches her whiny tone.

Hermione hums, "follow me."
