Prologue

As a bright witch, Hermione Granger had great potential. And like Severus Snape, she created her own spell.

However, unlike his spell, hers was less... chaotic. Although it could turn out terribly, it could also turn out just the way she plans.

"But wouldn't that be wonderful Professor?"

"It's dangerous, but I suppose Miss Granger. However, I want you to test the spell before you announce it to anyone. Give it a couple of months before to make sure there is no side effect. And do be careful."

"I will, Professor Dumbledore. Thank you."

Hermione walks off, she just got permission to use the spell she made. It's a soulmate spell of sorts, once it's used on someone, they will see flashes of their soulmate and where they are.

She's going to use it on Harry.

It will be perfect. With everything going on with him right now, finding the person he belongs with would be amazing.

Of course if the spell does go haywire and he actually dies then...

Well that's only an if.

She sneaks into the male dorm rooms, heading to where Harry, Ron, and a couple other of guys would be sleeping.

Thankfully, unlike the female dorms, the male ones don't have any enchantments to keep females out. It's quite odd actually.

They should be asleep right now. And if they aren't she'll just pretend she was making sure they were and then yell at them about how important sleep is especially with O.W.L.s coming up.

The door squeaks as she opens it. Most doors do that actually, it's quite obnoxious.

And there lie her best friend and crush.

Erm- two best friends, I mean.

She slips out her wand and quietly mutters the spell she had created only days earlier.

A circle of light ignites from her wand, a wonderful mixture of red and pink, which swirl together. It floats towards Harry.

Please don't wake them up, please don't-

It hits Harry, his eyes snap open.

Dammit!

Hermione's eyes widen and she quickly runs to her room, not bothering being quiet and hoping it works.
