Chapter 30

"Sooo..." he tries.

"So..."

You're stuck in some sort of dinner place.

It wasn't exactly super fancy, thank god, but Hermione had apparently wanted to go all out on this.

Which is weird and annoying, you're both only 15.

I don't know if there's a god or several, but if there is... save me. Like please I'm begging you this is so awkward.

"Uhm. What's your favorite color?"

"F/c. Yours?"

"Red."

"Cool."

"Yep."

It was uncomfortable for multiple reasons. And since you had three other people watching you... well that didn't help.

Especially since they were sitting at the table right next to yours. You can tell neither of you want to go on this date.

"God stop being so awkward! I'm getting second hand embarrassment!" Joseph yells from the other table. "Though this is entertaining as shit!"

Several people turn his way, but he flips off any one who has a judging look.

Hermione nods her agreement.

You roll your eyes, "Joseph..." you mutter it under your breath, but he seems to sense it.

"Love you too!"

"Look this is obviously not going well. I'm gonna leave as soon as they're all looking away."

Harry visibly winces, "yeah..."

You glance back at the three stalkers. Joseph is staring right back and Hermione is staring at Harry.

You glance back at Harry and he seems to be giving Ron a look.

Ron taps Joseph and Hermione to point something out. They both turn away.

"Perfect."

You quickly stand up, Harry follows suit, and you quickly leave before they can turn around.

Whether or not Harry is following you... well you don't exactly care.

You start walking towards your house.

"Hey." Harry jogs up to you.

"Sup."

"So... tonight was a fail."

You snort, "you think?"

"Do you..." he scratched the back of his head nervously, "maybe just want to hang out? As friends? Since neither of us wanted this anyways."

Sounds much better then whatever the hell was happening before.

"Sure."

He motions to the right, "park?"

"What a way to ask."

"Thanks." He rolls his eyes.

"Let's go."
