Professor Lee ChangMin had never seen such a big assortment of flowers anytime in his life, at once, all together. And they were sitting on his desk, looking at him. Chrysanthemums and carnations, roses and tulips, all stashed together in one bunch.
But none of that mattered, because neither the homeroom teacher Lee ChangMin, nor his brutish class boys, who were all sport driven maniacs, none of them knew the meaning of flowers.
"Good morning class," Lee ChangMin pushed the flowers away to one side of his desk with his index finger, "let's start roll call, but that's not... needed," ChangMin said slowly, seeing how every single boy in his class was present and was looking up at him, beaming.
"How's the cat, Professor?" JungWon, or Pinky, as Lee ChangMin liked to think of him, asked, beaming.
"Just as fine as your mathematics grades, Student," said Lee ChangMin and took out his tablet to read out the mandatory rules. He and the students both knew they were going to break all of them, but ChangMin had to say it out loud once.
"Burn!" The class howled, while JungWon gritted his teeth.
"Alright students, no destruction of school property, try your best to not get involved in fights especially physical fights," ChangMin straightened his spectacles as he read out the rules, "injuries having resulted in treatment for more than three weeks can officially be penalized by the court of law and the school authorities will take action against the student."
"We know that already Professor, it should be less than three weeks!"
"You are really hopeless," Professor Lee sighed, "moving on. Absolutely do not get involved in scandals, especially those in the sports team." The man had to do a double take as he read the words written on the forum. Even for a grown up man, it was extremely uncomfortable. And to think that these rules existed in the first place meant someone had broken them once and probably would break them again.
"No," Professor Lee censored the word with a cough, "incidents in the locker rooms, shower rooms, class rooms or any school grounds in general. Please maintain the decorum of civility-"
"Ay Professor, don't act shy like you have never fooled around girls," said a student, and the class laughed.
"Oh yes, you have been in the army Professor, I've heard army men are... beasts?" JungWon asked, wiggling his eyebrows, trying and achieving to appear seductive.
"That would be, again, none of your concerns, child."
The class howled encouragingly when Professor Lee clenched his jaw. Stupid students, they were interested in everything except Mathematics. And their questions ranged from how many people had Lee ChangMin killed, or how many abs he had on his stomach, or if he had ever met a defector in the DMZ.
But they never asked what was relevant. Like math.
"There would be girls, or so have I been informed. Please do not lose composure and act like monkeys fighting for dominance. Doing so will result in extra math homework-"
