A week passed and Shin had completed his backlog. It was far-fetched to say that he was the most intelligent student of his grade, but he was certainly the most intelligent student of 1-A. But that made him doubt himself. In a sea of blinds, a one eyed man was hailed as a king. Who could say that Shin wasn't the one eyed man?
"Alright students, don't make a mess today. And let us all hope and pray for HaeBom, okay?" Professor Choi clapped her hands and the class followed, while HaeBom bashfully rubbed the back of his neck and shied away.
"What's happening?" Shin whispered to the student in front of him.
"HaeBom has a match today," SunJoon whispered back, "We'll all be cheering for him."
Shin wanted to ask what kind of a match he would be having, but he heard his name called by his homeroom teacher. Reluctantly, he looked up.
"Student Tae." Miss Sunhee smiled. In her eyes, he saw shimmering, glimmering hope. The end of the month was near, and so were the monthly tests. "Do you need any more books for references?"
Shin gave his head a nod, still not accustomed to speaking to the teachers. Especially Professor Choi. She was very pretty.
"I'll sign a library pass for you. Then you can take whatever book you like. Study hard," she inhaled deeply and looked at the class, "all of you. You can come to me in recess or after classes if you have any doubts."
Library. Shin had only seen it from the outside. It covered almost half of the third floor. Shin wondered if universities had a library as large as the one RBH had. In any case, he might have used it to the maximum potential.
"Thank you." The class stood up and bowed in unison when the professor left the class. After that, chaos took over.
"Shin!" Shin's new classmates jumped on his desk. "You're coming, right? Right? Please come?"
"Coming... where?"
"The match!" HaeBom screeched.
Shin had no homework to do. He had plans to visit the school library and take a look at the books but he could compromise on that. Shin really had nothing to do, and any sort of free entertainment was greatly appreciated.
"So let me tell you," YooChan jumped from his desk and hopped over to Shin. "Our school's basketball team is the best in the country. Especially our small forward, San MaRoo. He shoots the ball right from the end of the court and never misses, you know?"
"That's good." Shin nodded, though he had no idea what YooChan just said. San MaRoo. One of the four boys. Why wasn't Park YoonJae included in that group? His mind kept revolving around that boy. Who was he? What was he doing in his neighborhood, and why did he look up at SooMin's window?
