Yun JeongSuk's footsteps were a constant reminder of the shackles around his feet ringing like an annoying, apathetic alarm wherever he walked. People bowed to him, armed military followed him hot on his heels and a hoard of reporters stood at his reception almost everywhere. He repulsed the sound of it.

Yun JeongSuk was a man loved by the people. And he hated it.

"This is such a great honor to have you on our grounds, Minister Yun." Chairman of HK Hospital Group was waiting right at the entrance with a big bouquet in his hands, decorated by pink chrysanthemums and yellow carnations. As soon as JeongSuk touched the bouquet, flashes of camera lights and clocking sounds rained upon him.

Flowers, JeongSuk gave a wry smile as he looked down at the bouquet for a moment. "On the contrary, I was looking forward to meet such brilliant young minds of our country. They all need recognition, do they not, Chairman?"

"Of course," the Chairman wagged his head like he was Yun JeongSuk's pet dog. "Whatever you say, Minister."

"Where are the students, though," the Minister stopped walking, and so did the armed entourage behind him. "I would like to see them."

"The students?" The Chairman and the doctor's board behind him gaped in synchrony. "Do you not want to meet the Professors and the board committee?"

JeongSuk laughed. Short. Bitter. Full of apathy.

"Boards are all I met my entire life, Chairman Ahn. I wish I had given a little time to children instead. Well, I have the entire evening and I am quite frankly, excited to see what my son has to say."

"Your son?" Chairman Ahn frowned.

"Are the children of the country not like my own sons and daughters as well?"

Even if he had everything he had ever wanted, even if he had the power to crush the people he once wanted to crush, JeongSuk was still a coward. The man couldn't bear a look at those flowers.

"Hyung!" Shin whisper yelled when he noticed Kim JaeHwan looking over his shoulder, trying to decipher his scribbles. Shin patted the chair next to himself. "What are you doing here?"

"They let in visitors." JaeHwan had ditched his school uniform and wore a pair of blue jeans with black shirt. Shin looked at the library. A few students did have someone siting by their sides. "I said I was your brother," his voice wobbled, "I don't like that tag though. What's your subject?"

"Autosomal recessive sickle cell anemia," Shin read from his notes. "And it's effects on malaria."

JaeHwan folded his hands and leaned back, pretending to be interested. He listened to Shin blabber something about how misaligned shapes hindered bonding and concentration values and a lot of things JaeHwan had never known. "Wait," he raised his hand, "isn't pedigree dog food?"
