•Chapter 4•
"Okay only coriander leaves remaining to put on and then the dish is ready". Hidayah said taking the cooked dishes to the dining table where her Abba and Asad were waiting.
"So how was your day at office beta?". Yahya asked Asad.
"It was amazing uncle actually we got the project Abba was trying for years and Alhamdulillah his efforts were fruitful". Asad said.
"Ohh Alhamdulillah bete. We're proud of you". Yahya exclaimed happily.
"Jazakallahu khairan uncle". Asad said thankfully.
Hidayah was impressed a little by her cousin who even after staying in U.S. for more than 10 years, didn't forget his deen. The way he conducts himself with positiveness is his inheritance from his father who's a positive soul too.
"Have some more beta". Yahya said giving him another bowl of rajma chawal.
"No uncle. You'll spoil my diet plan". Asad said.
"Why do you need diets and all? You're perfectly fit and fine". Yahya asked.
"I second that ". Zohra said coming into the dining hall.
"Hidayah let's have dinner together today". Zohra proposed the idea to which she looked at her father who nodded in positive. She sat exactly opposite to Asad making him nervous. He didn't understand why she was effecting him so much.
"Yeah Asad! You look handsome my boy. Well do you have any girl in your mind?". Zohra asked him further and his eyes landed on Hidayah for a fraction of seconds and then quickly looked away. He's going crazy. He needs to be stable.
"No Dadi. Nothing as such". Asad said calming his racing heartbeat.
"Don't tell me you'll get married to one of the foreign girls there". Zohra asked him again making Hidayah look at him to know his answer .
"I'm not getting married anytime soon Dadi and not the foreign girl to be sure". Asad said and he could see Hidayah looking at him from his peripheral vision but he chose to lower his gaze.
It wasn't appropriate for him to look at her. She's his cousin and more precisely, a non mehram. He decided to chuck all the thoughts he will ever get of her.

"Bhai! There's still 15 days for you to come back! I don't have patience". Anam said over a phone call to her brother. Asad went to relax for a bit after the dinner.
"You need to have patience my dear. Innallaha Ma' As'sabireen". Asad said making her more grumpy.
"But why can't we come now?". Anam asked her brother and annoying him more in the process.
"Ya Allah! Anam why can't you understand? Abba needs to be there if I'm here. Once I come back, you can visit India with Abba and Ammi. But right now, it's not possible". Asad said.
"OK I'll try to wait". Anam chided.
"Good girl". Asad affirmed smirking.
"Give your phone to Hida. I want to talk to her". Anam said suddenly making him nervous at her mention. He never thought he'd be so nervous around her.
"You can call her on her phone". Asad said trying to avoid awkwardness.
"But her phone is switched off and it's important ". Anam said trying to please her brother.
"OK wait I'll see if they're awake and then give it to her". Asad said.
"Ok". Anam said sheepishly. Keeping her ears on her phone like a glue trying to analyze the situation there. She had once eavesdropped her parents discussion over making Hidayah their Daughter-in-law. From then on, she was trying to hook them up.
