"Ammi, red color will suit her and also its Bhai's favorite color". Anam said winking at her brother.
But Asad was nowhere to be found in the atmosphere where his mother and sister were shopping to do the things official between Asad and Hidayah. He was physically present but mentally he was deeply thinking about something else.
"Bhai, it's your engagement. Why are you zoning out?". Anam asked her brother who smiled at her sheepishly. "Marriage side effects I guess". Anam concluded further.
"I'm not even getting married". Asad said absentmindedly.
"That means, you wanted to get married straight away? Well for that, you will have to wait for another year". Anam said teasingly.
"Anam, look at this. This is so beautiful. Hida will look gorgeous in it". Rafeeqa said admiring a red colored Sharara dress.
"Bhai, what do you think?". Anam asked her brother.
"This is indeed beautiful. It will look good on her". Asad said having a satisfied smile on his face.
"I can't believe I'm shopping for Asad and Hida's engagement. Ya Allah, shukr". Rafeeqa said with glistening tears.
"Ammi, don't make a scene here. We are at a mall". Anam said slightly pissed off by her emotional mother.
But Asad didn't care about his surroundings. He wiped her tears and engulfed her in a hug wiping his own tears in the process. He couldn't believe either that Hidayah will be going to officially his.
Only his.
"Ammi, I want to talk to you about something that's bothering me since yesterday". Asad said breaking the hug.
"What happened? ". Rafeeqa asked her son out of concern.
"First of all, you get done with the shopping and then we'll head to a food court to discuss about it".
"Okay". Rafeeqa said nodding.
It took them one hour to get done with all the required shopping. A small engagement ceremony will be held in Hidayah's residence in the evening with all the necessary guests including, Asad's Friends and Hidayah's.
"Tell me, what do you want to discuss?". Rafeeqa asked her son once their table was served with all the snacks they ordered.
"Ammi, I I I..... ". Asad stuttered.
"Bhai, go ahead". Anam encouraged him.
"Ammi, there's just 4 days to my departure to US". Asad started.
"Yes beta! Tell me what's on your mind".
"Ammi I want to get married to Hidayah before leaving to US. Within this 4 days period. I'm not asking her to move into our home just yet. It will be after the reception we will have after I come back, in shaa Allah ". Asad said not sure of his mother's reaction.
"Beta, what you're saying is absolutely valid but I don't know how Hida will react to it".
"I can't believe you're this desperate, Bhai". Anam chided.
"I'm not forcing her Ammi. Just ask her if she can give a thought on it". Asad said ignoring his sister's remark.

"Assalamualaikum! Come all in". Yahya welcomed the Rehmani family wholeheartedly.
"Walaikumassalam Yahya". Sadique said hugging his companion.
