Chapter 15

In The Little Mermaid, Narrator's POV:

The castle servants take care of Ariel. Everyone believes she got caught in a shipwreck so they want to help. Sebastian, in Ariel's rags, gets dragged everywhere around the castle, seeing firsthand how humans are. Sebastian then ends up in the kitchen and is scared when he sees the chef cooking seafood.

Anyways, Eric is still trying to find the mysterious girl. Grimsby is trying to persuade him to stop, but Eric won't listen. When it is dinnertime, Ariel comes in looking like a human princess. Ariel, who really doesn't know human stuff, use them wrong and everyone else is confused. At night, Ariel watches from her window Eric playing with Max. When Ariel walks to the bed, she is amazed by it and relaxes as Sebastian comes up with a plan. Ariel falls asleep in comfort and Sebastian quietens.

Under the sea, King Triton asks his herald if anyone has seen Ariel, Sebastian, or Flounder, but no one has. King Triton still has everyone look for Ariel, for he is worried about her safety.

The next day, Eric takes Ariel on a carriage ride through the kingdom. Flounder jumps up in the water seeing Ariel and Sebastian. Flounder and Sebastian plan on how to make them kiss. Ariel is amazed by the human world and how things work. In the evening, Eric takes Ariel on a canoe ride into a lagoon. Scuttle, Flounder, and Sebastian still don't know how to make them kiss. Then Sebastian has an idea. A song. The three gather animals and they start to sing.

(sung)
There, you see her
Sitting there, across the way

And you don't know why, but you're dyin' to try
You wanna kiss the girl

[SEBASTIAN AND ENSEMBLE]

Philby: "You know, I feel bad not knowing your name. Maybe I could guess. Is it Mildred?" She shakes her head no. "How about Diana? Rachel?" She shakes her head no twice. I hear voice saying, "Ariel. Her name is Ariel." "Ariel?" I say. She shakes her head yes. "That's kind of pretty. Okay. Ariel.

Floating in a blue lagoon (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Boy, you better do it soon, no time will be better

As Eric and Ariel are about to kiss, Ursula's eels tip their boat over.

Philby: "Whoa! I've got you."

Ursula: "Nice work, boys." I say to me eels from my cave. "That was a close one. Too close. The little tramp! Ah, she's better than I thought. Well, at this rate, he'll be kissing her by sunset for sure. Well, it's time Ursula took matters into her own tentacles. Triton's daughter will be mine! And then I'll make him writhe. I'll see him wriggle like a worm on a hook!"

Ursula then transforms herself into a human and takes Ariel's(Willa) voice as her own so she can trick the prince. Eric stands on a balcony, playing his pipe. Grimsby walks up and says that Eric should marry the girl he found, not the girl in his dreams. Eric then throws his pipe into the sea and plans to walk to Ariel's room. But Ursula, using Ariel's voice, vocalizes which gets Eric's attention. Eric looks down at the girl who's vocalizing and Ursula puts him under a trance so that he will go with her(Vanessa) instead of Ariel.

The next day, the castle prepares for the wedding between Eric and Vanessa. Ariel sees this and runs to her room and cries, knowing that she could not complete the deal. Ariel stays at the docks as the wedding boat floats away. As she prepares herself, Ursula looks into a mirror showing her true self as Scuttle passes by. Realizing that Vanessa is the sea witch and that Ariel's voice is in the shell, he tells Ariel and the others, so Flounder swims Ariel to the boat and Sebastian goes to King Triton.
