"hi mum ! i uhm need money."

Taehyung laid in his bed, some of the flour still in his hair. he had called his parents pretty often since he moved out. it was not like he couldn't live without them, the boy had always been really independent, but he had a close relationship with both of them. they talked about everything and Taehyung could always ask them for advice.

when Jungkook told him that he ran away from home, the older couldn't understand it at first. how could parents and their kids have such a distant relationship that they would rather live on the streets than stay another day at home, if they can even call it like that.

he had told them about Jungkook. when he first crashed at his house and how their friendship grew into something bigger and, in his opinion, better. of course he skipped some of the embarrassing stories, like running to Jimin's place in the middle of the night because the younger confused him so much. but he still told them about him.

and his parents loved Jungkook. they had loved him when they were kids and they loved him now, as the boyfriend of their son. whatever made Taehyung happy, they liked and supported. and if that meant a relationship with his middle school best friend, than so be it. they even suggested that the couple should visit them soon, now that the holidays were around.

it didn't take long for Jungkook to be out of money. not that they expected it to last long, it was not much for a boy in his twenties to live alone. Taehyung had reassured him multiple times that it was okay when he didn't pay for any of the bills, that he had it covered. the younger started to work in a bookstore but it was not enough for the both of them to live in the beach house together.

but asking his parents for money wasn't a scary thing to do, they were glad they could help. they would do anything for the younger, knowing his situation.

Jungkook on the other hand, was sitting outside of Taehyung's room, his back leaning against the door. he had heard some of the conversation the older had with his mother. guilt took over his head and heart, knowing how much his boyfriends family did for him. he got his phone out of his pocket, turned the brightness low, clicked on the email icon. he had to scroll down a bit to find the right mail. 2 weeks ago. that's when he got it. he had read it over 10 times already.

"hello Jungkook,

i got your email address from your university's secretary. i'm not sure if your mother has ever mentioned me to you but i'm your aunt, her older sister. words could never describe how sorry my family and i are to hear what has happened to you and i'm even more sorry we only found out so late. i want you to live with us Jungkook. we'll be a new family for you, that accepts and supports you however you are. if you decide to take the offer or just want to talk, call me, i'll attach my number below, or simply answer to this e-"

the boy shut his phone the moment he felt a tear escape his eyes. he quickly stood up, whipped his cheeks and locked himself in the bathroom. he didn't want the older to find him crying on the floor in front of his bedroom door.
