Jungkook shut his phone after his facetime call with Taehyung. his smile dropped a little, wondering how the other was doing without him. it had been over a week since he left. he pulled his boyfriends sweater over his pajamas before going downstairs for breakfast.

having breakfast, lunch and dinner together was a normal thing in his aunts house - something Jungkook's family had never done. in the time span of one week, the boy had learned that his uncle was the best at making breakfast. it didn't matter if it was pancakes, bacon and eggs or avocado toast, his uncle was a master at all of them. only when he saw how a harmonious family really looked like, Jungkook realized how bad his relationship with his parents had been, even before his unofficial coming out.

they sat together at the table, reading the newspaper and humming to the radio. it was so... calm. it reminded him of Taehyung and the beach house. but honestly, anything did. drinking coffee reminded him of his boyfriend, the sunrise each day did, brushing his teeth, listening to music and sleeping did.

"Jungkook? hey, earth to Jungkook? you got mail."

the boy shook his head to snap out of his daydream. his aunt was sitting next to him, smiling as she waved a letter in front of his face. Jungkook immediately recognized the handwriting. he was a little hesitant on opening it in front of his family but his heart couldn't wait.

he pulled a nicely folded paper out of the envelope. opened it with shaky hands. as his vision became a little blurry from the upcoming tears, his family send each other knowing looks. it was time to bring up the plan.

"it's from your boyfriend, right? Taehyung?"

the boy nodded, a tear escaping his eyes. he didn't plan on crying at the breakfast table. his aunt laid an arm over his shoulder, squeezing it tightly. dried his wet cheeks with her sleeve.

"Jungkook, we actually talked a little and ... we think you should move back in with Taehyung. and this is not because we want to throw you out, we absolutely love you and this house will always be your home and safe place, but we see how much he means to you. we want you to be happy."

and with that, the boy cried even harder. he could feel arms wrapping around his body, as Jin walked around the table to give him a back hug. he gently pressed his cheek against Jungkook's.

"when you told me about him and how much you missed him and the beach house, i just knew we had to do something. we also talked to his parents, about the financial situation and all. everything is settled. there is nothing standing in your way anymore ... but promise to visit us some time, yeah? and bring Taehyung. the way you described him made it sound like he's a god - i need to see that with my own eyes."

Jungkook was happy. he truly was. he found a family that loved him and promised him to forever be his home. but the best of all was, that he could finally see his boyfriend again. that he didn't have to say goodbye to the most important person in his life.
