Taehyung quickly tapped his body dry, wrapped the towel around his hips and rushed downstairs with his suit in one hand. the iron was plucked in in a second, the boy nervously tapped his foot on the floor, waiting for it to heat up.

Jungkook laid on the couch, scrolling through his instagram explore page in boredom. but he wasn't really focused on the pictures on his screen. blonde wet curls and little droplets of water making their way down a toned and tan body were distracting him. the younger tried very hard to hide his excitement over the half naked boy in the living room. and he was sure he was doing a good job on doing so but Taehyung could clearly feel the other's stare on his skin. too stressed to think more about it though.

the older rushed back up, the now wrinkle-free suit in his arms. he got ready, styling his hair in the closet mirror. put on a few golden necklaces and rings. he could hear the front door open, Jungkook letting in the guest.

"Taehyung should be down in a minute, he forgot to iron his suit yesterday - oh, he's here."

the younger walked back to the couch to make space for the other in front of the door. Taehyung slipped on his dress shoes, hugged the guest.

"hi Rae. you look incredible!"

"i can only give that back Tae. are you ready?"

"yes. Jungkook, i'll be back in a few hours."

"sure, have fun."

with that Taehyung closed the door and lead Rae to his car. he opened the door to the passenger's seat for his date, walked to the other side and got into the driver's seat. luckily the weather was good that evening, no sign of rain.

the drive was pretty short, they reached the location of the cherry blossom ball in no time. Rae wore high heels, so she linked her arm with Taehyung's for support. the room they entered was filled to the brim with people. everyone was chattering, laughing, dancing. the music was a bit too loud for Taehyung's liking but they currently played "i can't quit" by the vaccines so it wasn't too bad.

the boy took Rae's hand and lead her through the crowd to one of the free tables near the bar. he got a glass of fruit punch for his date and a bottle of water for himself before returning to the table.

"so who are we even searching for?"

"Lia, she's in one of your classes. straight pastel pink hair, pale skin"

they both scanned the room, searching for said girl. she was only a few feet away at a table with her friends.

"oh my god she looks so good. i think i'll faint."

"she does look good."

"okay but what do i do now? i can't just go up there? she's with all her friends, i can't just barge in!"

"come on Rae, relax! i'll handle it. we go up there, i say 'hi, i'm Taehyung - don't we study photography together? oh and this is my friend Rae who also happens to have the biggest crush on you', easy."

"Tae!"

Rae playfully hit her friends shoulder who snickered at her embarrassment. Taehyung took her arm and, despite her protests, pulled her across the room to Lia's table.
