Lucien and Harry were now on their way to the detention with umbridge, she wasn't going to go but Hermione said she had to, so she didn't get into more trouble.
The things she did for Hermione

They pretty much walked in silence the entire way home, neither wanting to speak about where they were going

"Are you gonna knock?"
She asked Harry, breaking the silence once they arrived outside her outside

He looked to Lucien and then back to the door, both of them would've preferred to skip it but that would mean dealing with an angry Hermione.

He knocked on the door and Umbridge revealed herself when she opened the door to let them in

"Ah mr Potter, Miss Lupin Black. Do come in."
She greeted them with a 'warm' smile

They entered the office and the moment Lucien stepped foot in it, it was clear that it was Umbridges office. It was bright pink with plates hung on the wall, each of them with a picture of a cat on it.
Like little spies

They both sat down at the two desks next to each other giving each other glances out of fear.

When they were told they were writing lines they didn't think much of it, that is until their lines were being carved into the back of their hands.

Lucien looked over to Harry to see him shaking, and she herself was on the verge of tears.
She'd felt a lot of emotional pain in her life but she'd never felt something like this before. This was something else, because she herself was in control of the pain yet she couldn't stop it.

"What's the matter dear?"
She was asked by the pink woman when she noticed a tear roll down Luciens cheek

"N-nothing Professor"
She lied and managed to force a small smile

"Of course, well then you are free to leave!"
She told them happily, she looked happy to see them both in pain

Lucien didn't waste any time getting out of her office, and instead of going back to her own common room she went to the Gryffindor one. She needed Hermione.

"Hermione!"
She shouted whilst entering the common room
Meanwhile Harry had gone for a walk around the castle because he needed space, not an angry and upset Hermione

Hermione looked up from her book on the sofa and stood up abruptly on seeing Luciens state
"What Lu- Oh merlin what happend to you?"
She asked her
She hurried over to her and quickly wiped away the tears from her face

"It was Umbridge."
She cried
"She- she made us write lines."
She managed to choke out between her sobs.

Hermione's eyes raked over her shaking body, when she saw her hand she wanted to kill the Professor with her hands not her wand
"Oka- merlin what did she do to your hand?"

"The lines they- they were magic, they-"
She struggled to speak due to the amount of breaths she was taking because of her crying

"Shh."
Hermione shushed her trying to comfort her
"Come on, you can stay over tonight."
She said as she held Luciens other hand that wasn't bleeding and led her to her dormitory.
She sat down with her on her bed and picked up her bleeding hand.
"Do you want me to fix it?"
She asked softly to Lucien who nodded

She picked up her wand from her pocket and healed Luciens hand, not without it hurting though.
"I'm sorry, just a bit more I promise."
She cooed to her

Lucien squeezed her eyes shut as the pain finally ended, she looked to her hand which was in Hermiones, it would leave a small scar but you would only see it if you looked hard enough.

She then looked to Hermione who was already looking at her and their eyes connected, neither wanted to look away but they did.

Hermione cleared her throat and stood from the bed and walked towards her drawer of clothes
"Here you'll need these."
She tosses Lucien a jumper and jogging bottoms, which she didn't catch as she was still looking at Hermione

"Right yeah."
She looked away and suddenly found the hem of her robes interesting
"I'll um, go change."

She stood from the bed and went into the bathroom, when she had changed into the clothes she looked into the mirror and smiled to herself, she breathed in the scent of parchment off of the jumper that she was wearing.

She exited the bathroom to the empty dormitory and lay down Hermiones bed and wrapped herself up in the covers and soon fell asleep. Umbridge had taken a toll on her that was for sure.

Later into the night Hermione was also laying on her bed with Lucien next to her, somehow their hands hand intertwined together and they had their heads resting on top of each other.
