LAST TIME ON THE TRAIN

"We're leaving!"
Mrs Weasley shouted up the stairs to the kids

"Coming mum!"
Ron shouted back as he walked past the girls bedroom which Lucien was in, reading a book
"What are you reading?"
He asked her

Luciens head snapped up and she hid the book under her pillow before he could see what it was
"Nothing."

"Don't lie to me, what was it?"
He asked and moved closer to her, leaving his trunk by the door

"Nothing, I swear."
She forced a laugh and tried to sound honest

Ron stood over her by the side of her bed and snatched the book from her
"50 fail safe ways to charm witches?-" he laughed and gave it back to her "-you don't need to read that, Hermione loves you already."

Lucien tried to hide her face which was red with embarrassment, and stood from her bed and packed the book away in her trunk
"Mmh, maybe."

"Somethings happened hasn't it?"
Ron quizzes her and crossed his arms over his chest as she closed the he trunk
"You haven't denied it."

"Well I uh, well."
Lucien huffed and dropped he head to the floor
"We almost kissed, but she didn't want to. She's still on that whole 'I need to deserve it' thing, but when I leaned in she didn't stop me, but I pulled away as payback and now-"

"-it's gonna be awkward for you too."
Ron mumbled and the girl nodded
"Talk to her."
He patted her on the shoulder lightly

"I can't do that! It'll just make things worse."
Lucien forced a laugh and picked her trunk up from the bedside table and walked to the door
"Look, I'll just see how it is downstairs. If it's awkward it's awkward."
She shrugged and left the room, hearing Ron mumbled something about her being stupid but she ignored it

She walked down the stairs to the living room where Ginny, Harry and Hermione were already there, Harry and Hermione seemed to be whispering to each other before Harry noticed Lucien and nudged the Brown haired girl.

The both looked at each other before Lucien gulped harshly and walked towards Ginny who was standing beside Mrs Weasley
"Excited?"
She asked her and tried to keep her eyes off Hermione

"Not really, I've got OWLs this year haven't I?"

"You'll be fine, at least Umbridge won't be there."
Lucien reason and the ginger laughed

"Harry!"
Lucien shouted as the five boarded the train, Ginny walking with Hermione and Ron with Harry while she was lagging behind
"Harry!"
This time he turned round and raised his eyebrows
"I need to talk to you, alone."

"Fine, I'll meet you in there"
He told Ron
"What?"
He asked once the others had gone into the compartment

"What were you and Hermione talking about before?"
She asked him and he shook his head before repli

"I can't say."
Her mumbled and adjusted his glasses

"Why not?"
She scoffed and crossed her arms

"Because she doesn't want me to, that's why."

"Fine then."
Lucien huffed and walked past him into the compartment, with Hermione and Ron in, as Ginny had gone to another one with Neville and Luna.

"Nice talk then?"
Hermione asked her once she slid the door shut after Harry walked in

"Lovely, thanks for asking."
She snapped and the short girl looked up at her with an open Mouth before shutting her book and standing up to sit next to Ron

"Right well um, I'm gonna sit down."
Harry grumbled and sat down where Hermione had previously been

"You do that."
Hermione snapped at him now, annoyed with Lucien
"Sorry."
She mumbled and looked to Lucien who was already looking at her

Lucien sat down and tried to look anywhere but Hermione, she thought that things would be awkward but not to the point where they wouldn't even talk to each other without it being aggressive

"Anything from the trolley dears?"
The trolley witch asked as she walked past the compartments

"Yes please"
Lucien stood and went to order and came back with a chocolate frog and a liquorice wand

She nodded to Ron who moved over next to Harry and she sat next to Hermione, who shuffled away from her

"Here."
She put the sweets on the girls lap and Hermione looked up at her and the girls eyes softened

"Why did you buy these for me?"
Hermione asked in a soft voice as she picked them up and played with them in her hands

"Well, I don't know what I've done wrong but I um, I thought that they could maybe make you feel better."
Lucien muttered shyly as looked to Hermione who was looking at the sweets in her hand
"And then you could maybe tell me what I've done wrong?"
She suggested quietly

"No, it's stupid."
Hermione sighed and gave the liquorice wand to Lucien
"I have no reason, I juts thought that maybe after you know, this morning-"
Lucien nodded already knowing what she was on about
"-that it was easier if I didn't talk to you at all, or make you not want to talk to me."

"It's fine."
Lucien dropped her voice to a whisper
"I knew it was gonna be somewhat awkward."
Hermione laughed and she knew that they were alright again as the girl lay her head on her shoulder and they held each other's hand

Harry cleared his throat, disturbing the silence
"So your good then?"
He asked

"Yeah."
They both relied at the same time and The boys looked to each other before speaking again

"Good, because I do not want to be in the middle of a girls fight."
Ron mumbled and the two girls laughed at him which he looked at them quizzically
"What?"

"Girls fight?"
Hermione laughed

"What's that supposed to mean?"
Lucien asked and he shrunk in his seat
"Are you, scared of us?"

"No! No! Well your both a little scary."
He rambled and looked to Harry
"Harry back me up on this."
He pleaded

"You are a little scary sometimes."
Harry nodded at them as they both watched Ron with beady eyes

"Good to know, good to know."
Lucien mumbled as she watched the boys freeze up slightly and return to looking out the window
