The car pulls to a stop in the avengers compound car park. I turn the keys in the ignition, cutting off the engine as I grab my bag from the passenger seat. Before I get out of the car I check my bag again. ID? Check. Gun? Check. Explosives? Check. Everything I need is in there. I reach for the handle on the door, pushing it open. Slowly I step out of the car and into the fresh air.
Its dark outside and quiet. The only sound I can hear is the gentle hum of machinery and my footsteps against the ground as I walk up to the front door. Reaching into my bag, I pull out the ID I stole from a guard earlier, scanning it on the keypad. It takes a few moments before there is a ring and the door unlocks.
"No going back now." I mutter to myself as I push my way into the compound. I am welcomed by a long hall scattered with doors. At the end of it stands a single elevator guarded by a single guard. The guards head whips up as I enter and he reaches for his gun. Before he can pull it from its place on his hip, I whip out my gun, firing it straight at his heart. The bullet collides with his skin as he collapses to the ground.
I walk down the hall as I put my gun back in my pocket. As I reach the guard, I kick him checking he's dead before stepping over him and into the elevator. I push the button labelled Level 12 as the doors close. Whilst the elevator goes up, I remove my explosives from my bag, hiding them in the pouch against my hip. I remove my glasses from my head, tossing them to the floor before pulling on my leather jacket and placing my gun in the holster at my hip. Pulling the bobble from my hair, I shake my head letting my dark brown hair fall loose to my shoulders. I take the blades from my bag and place them in the holsters on both thighs.
A ping comes from the elevator as the doors open to reveal four guards. Each one turns to me, drawing their weapons as I step out of the elevator.
"Hello boys. How about we have a little fun?" I smile as I pull my blade from its place and send it hurtling towards the guard closest to me. It lands in his shoulder as he collapses to the ground, grunting. Another guard charges at me, his baton aimed for my head. I easily dodge him, stepping to the side as he goes flying past me and hits his head on the wall, falling unconscious. I turn to find both of the remaining guards stood in the way of the door I need to get to. I launch myself at the closest one, slamming him against the wall before driving my remaining blade into his chest. The other attacks me from behind, using his baton to strangle me. I flip him onto his back and drive my elbow into his chest before slitting his throat.
Slowly, I stand up and walk over to the first guard, removing my blade from his shoulder. He screams in pain as blood pours from the deep wound. I lift him up by his throat, pulling him to my eye level. I smile at him before driving my blade into his chest. He coughs up blood, spitting it all over me before he gives in to the darkness.
"How pleasant." I say sarcastically as I drop his body to the ground before wiping his blood from my face. I pick up my knives and place them back in their straps before marching through the door.
As I turn the corner, I hear low voices mumbling about something. I stop and listen.
"I want to know why Loki let us take him," mumbles a male who's tone is serious, "He's not leading an army from here."
"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki," interrupts another male, "That guys brain is a bag full of cats. You can practically smell crazy on him."
"Have care how you speak." warns a male with a deep voice, "Loki is beyond reason but he is of Asgard. And he is my brother."
"He killed 80 people in 2 days." states a woman with a russian accent.
I step around the corner, revealing myself for the first time, "Only 80? He's losing his touch."
Everyone in the room stops what they're doing, turning to face me with shocked expressions. There are six of them in the room, five males and one female. The female has short red hair that falls at her shoulders and wears an outfit almost identical to mine. Another male sits near her at a large table, his pale blue eyes scanning me up and down. Another male stands timidly in the corner, his arms crossed as he looks up through his glasses at me. Two more men stand on the far side of the room, looking at me quizzingly. A blonde stands in front of them, his muscular arms tense. Thor, he's my main problem. If I get him out the way, it should be easy enough for me to take the rest of them out.
"And who are you exactly?" questions the guy stood in the back as he starts walking towards me.
"That's not important. All you need to know is that I'm here for Loki." I step closer to the table, placing my hand to my pocket so that I'm ready to grab my explosive if things go wrong. "So, hand him over and I'll be on my way."
The brunette steps even closer to me as he puts his hands in his pockets, looking down at the floor momentarily before looking back up at me again, "Unfortunately. I can't do that."
"I wasn't asking." I smirk as I pull out the explosive, throwing it into the centre of the room. Before it hits the ground, I run from the room, shielding myself as it explodes. Smoke fills the room as everyone is thrown to the ground. Coughs echo around the room as smoke invades peoples lungs.
"Put on the suit." murmurs the blonde who was sat near the female moments before as he pulls the brunette to his feet.
"Yep." echoes the brunette as they both rush from the room to collect weapons.
I find my way to the door that leads to where Loki is being kept and push it open, fully expecting to be greeted by a room full of guards. Instead, I'm greeted by none. I swiftly creep my way into the room, edging towards Loki's cell and checking for guards along the way. Once I know that the coast is clear, I edge my way into the light.
Loki is pacing back and forth in his cell but stops when he hears my footsteps. His back is to me yet he still knows exactly who I am. "How did you find me?" he says as he turns to face me a devilish grin on his face.
"We're twins. I always know where you are." I step closer to the door, smiling at him as he walks towards me.
"Well are you going to let me out then?" he mutters as he reaches the door of his cell and finds it still locked. With a flick of my wrist, the door comes flying open. I turn on my heels, heading for the door as I pull out my gun. When I reach the door, I stop, turning to face Loki.
"You may want to change." I comment, gesturing to his outfit. His gaze follows mine as we both look at the clothing he has on.
"Why would I do that?"
"Because we need to blend in when we go visit Odin." I shout over my shoulder as I push the door open and leave the room.
"Oh, I like this plan already." chuckles Loki as he follows me out of the compound and off into the cool night air to find Odin.
