*In Narrator's Voice* Previously on Dragon Ball Z! After being rescued, Kami and Mr. Popo set off to find the seven air currents which will allow them to spread the Sacred Water everywhere and quicker to revert the effects of the Black Water Mist. Elsewhere, the Z-Fighters battled Garlic Jr. and his men and almost defeated them. However, as a last resort, Garlic Jr. harnessed the power of the Makyo Star, his home planet, to give him and his henchmen a power boost which allowed Garlic Jr. to transform. Now, the tables have turned but the Z-Fighters fight today!
High above Earth, Kami's once beautiful sanctuary now stands in ruin as the evil light from the Makyo Star shines down from above. Garlic Jr. had transformed and he and his men chuckle as they surround the Z-Fighters.

Spice comments, "Yeah, that's our boss!" Krillin replies, "Oh man! From blue dwarf to green giant! Yikes!" Raditz asks, "Hey, Kiddo, doesn't he look like that guy from that comic book you showed me the other day? What was his name? I think it was the Amazing Bulk. No. That's not it." Gohan replies, "No, Uncle Raditz, it's the Incredible Hul-" Piccolo interrupts and replies, "I think we have more pressing matters than some stupid comic book! A copyright strike is the last thing we need." Gohan replies, "Yeah, nothing's worse than profiting off of someone else's success." Krillin replies, "Kinda like a certain someone I know." While the Z-Fighters look at me, Vinegar tells them, "It's not over yet, Kids! We're just getting started!" Spice replies, "Yeah, feast your eyes on this!" Him and Vinegar stand right where the Makyo Star shines brightest and they raise their arms and start yelling while powering up.
