Dragon Ball Z - Raditz: Born Again

Chapter 111: The Tournament Begins

*In Narrator's Voice*
Previously on Dragon Ball Z! Things have taken an interesting turn, to say the least. First off, two mysterious figures show up seemingly out of nowhere and tell the group that they'll be waiting for them in the ring. After that, everyone drew numbers and the matchups have been decided. However, the most interesting ones are the fight between Goku and Vegeta. Other than that, there's also a fight between Mr. Satan and Raditz. Now, everyone is waiting for the first match to begin which will consist of Krillin and Pintar in today's epic battle!

The Announcer calls out, "Mighty Mask, come and draw a number, please." A man with a weird looking costume approaches the box and draws out his number which is 13. 13 tells him, "You done found a darn lucky number, partner." Then, the announcer calls Piccolo to the stand. "Alright, Majunior, it's your turn." Piccolo approaches the box and pulls out number 4. Piccolo then realizes that he is paired up against the mysterious Shin. Piccolo thinks to himself, I can't believe that I'm going up against him so soon. Then again, I can find out a thing or two about this guy. Piccolo then stares at Shin who then looks at him back. The Announcer then tells everyone, "Alright, last but certainly not least, Yamu! Come and select your number!" The other pale man approaches the box and selects his number which is 15. The Announcer replies, "Great! Now we have everyone settled! The first match is Krillin vs Pintar. The second match is Shin vs Majunior. The third match is none other than Videl vs Spopovich. The fourth match is Great Saiyaman vs Kibito. The fifth match is Radish vs Mr. Satan. The sixth match is Goku vs Vegeta. The seventh match is Mighty Mask vs Killa. The Final match is Yamu vs 13. Now, that's settled, follow me to the lobby where you can spectate the various matches. As a small reminder, if you're knocked out or fall of the ring then you're out. Also, no weapons allow or killing your opponents because if you do that then you lose." Pintar then approaches Krillin and tells him, "Well, hello there, pipsqueak, I hope you've said goodbye to your wife and children because there won't be much left of you once I'm finished." Krillin replies, "You really shouldn't have gone there, buddy. I'm in a pretty bad mood and I'll be more than happy to show you your place." Pintar replies, "Ooh, the little man thinks he can stand up to me. Aw, how adorable." However, Krillin decides that it'll be best to ignore Pintar for now. As he does this, the tournament is about to begin at any moment now.

Mr. Satan and the kids, on the other hand, are almost finished with their meal. Suddenly, Mr. Satan receives a call from someone. He picks up and asks, "Mr. Satan here, how can I help you?" The caller responds, "We got news to share with you." Mr. Satan asks, "Alright, what is it?" The caller responds, "Well, your opponent is someone called Radish." Mr. Satan replies, "Alright, he doesn't sound so tough." The caller responds, "Yeah and your daughter is matched up against someone called Spopovich." Mr. Satan replies, "Spopovich, you say? Hmm, looks like that feller wants to get back at me for beating him the last time. I'm not worried though, my baby can clap him with ease!" The caller responds, "Alright, we hope you can make it back soon." Mr. Satan replies, "Of course I can. Anyway, talk to you soon." Mr. Satan ends the call and tells the children, "Alright, are you little warriors ready to go back to the tournament grounds." Trunks asks, "Why though?" Mr. Satan replies, "Well, the real tournament is about to begin." Ranch replies, "That's right, Papa and Uncle Goku are competing and so is your dad, Trunks." Trunks replies, "Alright, I guess we can go." Mr. Satan replies, "Then it's settled! Check please!" The waiter comes with a check and Mr. Satan realizes how much he has to spend. He yells out, "10 MILLION ZENI!" The waiter replies, "Sorry, my bad." The waiter flips the check which reveals more zeroes and 25 cents. Mr. Satan thinks to himself, Seriously, what in Dende's name do their mothers feed them? Goten approaches Mr. Satan and asks him, "Hey, Mr. Santa, can we have dessert?" Mr. Satan asks, "And how much is that thing?" Goten replies, "5 million Zeni." Mr. Satan then faints.

Meanwhile, back in the tournament, Piccolo can't help but look nervous about his fight. Videl notices this and then asks Gohan, "Hey, is he always like that before a match. I'm not gonna lie, he doesn't look very well either. He looks like he's gonna throw up any second now." Gohan replies, "That's just how he prepares for a match." Raditz adds on, "Yeah, Greenman works in mysterious ways, my little lady." Gohan then thinks to himself, Piccolo, are you nervous about your match? Just who is this Shin guy? Goku, on the other hand, is training to his heart's content. Krillin comments, "Well, well, it looks like someone is fired up." Raditz replies, "Of course, it's not every day where you can pummel Vegeta's face to the ground. I would have liked to do the honors myself but Mr. Satan should satisfy me until then." Vegeta replies, "You may still get your chance, Raditz, just probably not the way you were expecting. Still, I didn't imagine you being any less naive." Raditz replies, "Just you wait! Even if you somehow managed to beat Kakarot, which I doubt that you will, I'll be waiting for you and trust me, I have something that I've been brewing for months now." Suddenly, Shin and Kibito walk past the group only to stop and stare at Goku. Videl asks Gohan, "Are they having some sort of staring contest?" Gohan replies, "Yeah, I guess you could say that." Suddenly, everyone can hear the crowd roaring in excitement as the first match of the long-awaited tournament is about to begin. There is even a band playing in honor of the tournament. Excitement is truly in the air and everyone is anxious to see who exactly is going up against who. The suspense thickens.
