A Raditz: Born Again Christmas Special

Story 1: Raditz's First Christmas
Setting: December 25th, Age 763

It has been exactly one year after Gohan, Krillin, Launch, and Bulma went to Planet Namek. It has also been one year after Goku had transformed into the Super Saiyan of legend which allowed him to conquer the Galactic Tyrant, Frieza. After that, Goku had set off on his own journey to train with his newly found Super Saiyan form on a planet called Yardrat. While this was happening, Raditz got to enjoy some peace on Earth with his new friends. He currently lives at Kame House with Master Roshi, Turtle, Krillin, and Launch most of all. While it appeared to be any other day of the year, today was very particular as there were tons of decorations around the old hermit's house. There were lights that shine red and green, ornaments of the same color, and colorful signs that spelled out Merry Christmas. Raditz was confused as to what this Christmas thing was but he couldn't care less as he had more pressing matters on his hands. He thinks to himself, This is it, today marks the day the last time I saw my baby brother before me and the rest retreated from Namek. Kakarot, just where are you? Raditz looks out the window at the dark gray star where thousands of white particles fall from the sky. Suddenly, Launch, in her blue hair form, approaches Raditz and asks, "Is something wrong, Raditz?" Raditz normally doesn't reveal his feelings to anyone but his special connection with Launch allows him to be honest. "Hello there, woman, it's just that I'm feeling cold, that's all." Launch replies, "Here you go then, I guess now is a good time as any to give it to you." Launch hands Raditz over a red sweater which spells out Merry Christmas. Raditz decides to be upfront and ask, "Okay, what's with this Christmas shenanigan?" Launch replies, "That's right, you're from another planet so our traditions here on Earth might be different to yours. Not to mention that there was hardly any time to celebrate Christmas last year given the whole Frieza thing." Raditz replies, "It's also around this time where I last saw my baby brother." Launch replies feeling sympathetic, "Oh, you poor thing, you just miss your brother. Well, don't worry, knowing Goku, I'm sure he's fine wherever he is. You know what, to get your mind off it, why don't you help me out in the kitchen?" Raditz asks, "And do what?" Launch replies with her festive joy, "Help me make a gingerbread house!" Confused, Raditz would rather not take part as he replies, "On second thought, I think I'll pass." This kinda upsets Launch who was hoping to spend some time with Raditz on Christmas but she respects his decision. Suddenly, a fly flies under Launch's nose, causing her to sneeze into her blonde hair form. She grabs her machine gun and fires directly at Raditz who manages to avoid the bullets while his hair has some bullet holes in it now. Launch yells out, "Hey, bub, I'm not spending my Christmas alone so you're gonna come with me to the kitchen and we're making gingerbread houses whether ya like it or not! Is that clear?" Raditz quickly nods his head with his hands up in the air. Thankfully for Raditz, Launch sneezed again so soon thanks to her mild cold. From there, Launch and Raditz sit on the table as they make gingerbread houses. Launch's ones come out way better while Raditz's ones are less than desirable. Raditz quickly frustrated as he yells out, "How come your gingerbread houses look better than mine?" Patiently, Launch replies, "You need to have a level of patience, Raditz. It's nearly impossible for anyone to master something at their first try." Raditz asks, "And how long have you been doing this?" Launch replies, "Oh, ever since I was a little girl. I would enjoy making gingerbread houses with my mother before I kinda drove myself out and ran away." Launch then stops what she's doing as she feels sadness in her. Raditz sees this and asks, "Uh, hey woman, is everything alright?" Launch snaps out of it and replies, "Sorry about that but it was a long time ago now and at least I have you and the rest now." Launch gives Raditz a kiss on the cheek and tells him, "You can go if you want. I won't bother you or make you do things you don't want to." Raditz gets up from the seat and is about to leave but he notices the sweet innocent eyes Launch has as she works on the gingerbread houses and decides to stick around with her a little longer especially to find out what Christmas is. Launch notices this and asks, "You're not going to watch television or something? I heard How the Crinch stole Christmas is on. Raditz takes a seat and replies, "Nah, I think I'll stay here a little longer and learn a little something from you." Launch, feeling flattered, replies, "Aw, Raditz, that's sweet and all but I'm afraid that there's nothing interesting I can share." Raditz replies, "Maybe there is. For example, I've been wondering what this whole Christmas thing is about?" Launch replies, "That's right, I forgot to tell you. Well, it's a celebration that's held on Earth and is basically for all loved ones to come together and spend time with one another before the year is out. It's nice because you don't have to worry about all the stress that's going on and just enjoy spending time with the people you care for, like you for example." Raditz replies, "Okay but are the lights, the sweater, and the what-you-might-call-it houses really necessary?" Launch replies, "Not really I guess once you think about it but it gives you something to do with the people you care about. Kinda like what we're doing right now." Raditz replies, "I guess you're right, this Christmas thing is starting to make sense and that would explain why I've been seeing it everywhere. Well, if it's about spending time with the ones you care about then how about you teach me how to make these ginger something houses." Delighted, Launch replies, "Of course!" From there, Launch taught Raditz beat by beat on how to make a gingerbread house. While it didn't come out perfectly, it was made by love and that's what counts. After that, Raditz, Launch, Krillin, Master Roshi, and Turtle sit on the couch as they watch countless Christmas specials. However, Master Roshi decides to be a little sneaky and pulls out a stick with a string holding a mistletoe attached to it and puts it in between his own head and Launch's. He tells her, "Oh, Launch, would you look at that? It's a mistletoe, you know what that means!" Master Roshi advances on Launch who's a bit terrified of this and tries to get Roshi to stop as she yells out, "Please stop this, Master Roshi! It ain't funny!" However, Roshi ignores her and tries to kiss her as she puts her hand on his face. Thankfully for Launch, her cold comes into play and she sneezes into her blonde hair form. From there she slaps Master Roshi away to the ocean as she yells out, "And stay out!" She then closes the shutters. Launch then sits on Raditz's lap and puts the Santa hat that she was wearing on his head. She tells him in a seductive voice, "Oh, Santa, I've been a naughty girl this year. What will my punishment be?" Confused, Raditz replies, "Well, let's see... There's... Uh...?" Suddenly, the two notice the mistletoe above them and it was Oolong controlling it with the stick Roshi was using earlier and tells them, "You're welcome." Launch then grabs Raditz by the face and tells him, "Well, it looks like we're both about to be on the naughty list." Launch kisses Raditz who's confused at first but then goes with the flow. The two then make out on the couch while Krillin and Turtle blush. Krillin comments, "If only I had someone to kiss under the mistletoe." Raditz stops kissing Launch for a second and asks, "Are you still upset about that Maron girl?" Krillin replies, "Yeah but part of that was Garlic Jr.'s fault!" Launch replies, "I guess but think about it, Baldy, there's plenty of fish in the sea. I bet your lucky gal will come through those doors any second now." Suddenly, Chi-Chi entered and exclaimed, "Merry Christmas, everyone!" She was there along with Gohan and Ox-King. Gohan approaches Raditz and Launch and tells them, "Merry Christmas, Uncle Raditz, and Ms. Launch!" Suddenly, Raditz picks Gohan up and tells him, "Merry Christmas to you too, kiddo." Launch tells him, "I hope you've been a nice boy." Chi-Chi replies, "Oh, he has been and I got him even more books!" Launch replies, "I thought you said he's been nice." Turtle asks, "Merry Christmas. So what brings you here?" Chi-Chi replies, "Personally, I wanted to stay at my house but this little man here was adamant that we see his uncle." Raditz asks, "Did he now? Well, I'm glad you haven't forgotten about your good old Uncle Raditz." Raditz pats Gohan on the head as he giggles. Suddenly, Krillin uses the mistletoe stick on Chi-Chi and asks, "Hey, how about showing a guy some love, huh?" Chi-Chi replies, "In your dreams, Baldy. Goku may be gone who knows where but he's still my husband." Krillin replies, "Go figure. Whatever, you weren't my type anyway." Furious, Chi-Chi asks, "What was that, baldy?" Krillin cowers and replies, "Nothing, ma'am!" Ox-King replies, "Also, we found Master Roshi frozen in a block of ice on our way in here." Launch replies, "I think I like him better that way." Chi-Chi replies, "You and me both, sister." Suddenly, Master Roshi defrosts and uses the mistletoe stick on Chi-Chi and puckers his lips ready to receive a kiss. Chi-Chi punches Roshi on the face and yells out, "As if I'd ever!" Everyone then laughs at this while Roshi groans in pain on the floor. The End!
