*In Narrator's Voice* Previously on Dragon Ball Z! To aid his brother in forming a Spirit Bomb, Raditz transformed into a Great Ape and bought Goku enough time to ready and fire his Spirit Bomb. It successfully hits Frieza, bringing the tyrant down once and for all. Our heroes celebrate and prepare to head back home. However, in a twist of fate, Frieza had survived the Spirit Bomb and was lusting for revenge. He brutally killed Tien Shinhan followed by Krillin. Goku was enraged to the point where he exploded in anger and transformed into the Legendary Super Saiyan, today!
After Goku has transformed into the Super Saiyan, Frieza looks on in a mix of horror, confusion, and intrigue and asks, "What... Is this? What has this Saiyan become? I thought his kind could only transform into Great Apes but... This is no Great Ape!" Everyone else looks at Goku while Bulma asks, "Goku? Is that you?" Goku replies, "Move as fast as you can. If the Grand Elder dies then Porunga dies too and I think I don't need to remind you what that would mean." Raditz asks, "What are you trying to say?" Goku replies, "I'm saying leave without me! Get back to Earth and I'll be there when I can!" Raditz replies, "No! I'm staying! We're fighting Frieza together as intended!" Goku replies, "You can't anymore. At this point, only I can defeat Frieza so get back to the ship!" Gohan asks, "But if we take your spaceship, then how are you supposed to get home, Dad? You'll be stuck here." Goku replies, "I'm your Kamidamn father! Don't talk back! I just need you to do as I say!" Raditz replies, "Alright, we'll head back to the ship. Come on, Kiddo, let's go home." Gohan then tells his father, "I'll see you at home." Raditz picks up Blonde Launch, Gohan picks up Bulma, and Piccolo picks up Tien's body. Together, the group begins to take off while Blonde Launch tells Goku, "Just promise me one thing, kick his ass!" Bulma replies, "Good luck, Goku." They fly off while Gohan thinks to himself, Dad, you're the greatest. Thank you for everything. I'll be waiting. I know you'll find a way to get back home again. Safe and Sound. Raditz then thinks to himself, Kakarot... You did it... You really did it... You proved Vegeta and Frieza wrong and showed them that a low-class warrior can become the greatest as long as they put their mind to it. Just like Mother said. And Father... If you're listening, I hope you're proud of what your sons have become. I promise we'll finish what you started! Good luck, Kakarot. Piccolo then thinks to himself, Goku... You're many things but a great warrior is one of them. You never cease to surprise me and as much as I hate to say it, I think I'm going to need to train much harder if I want to compete with you. Show Frieza who's boss!
Meanwhile, Frieza sees the group flying away, chuckles, and tells them, "I'm not letting you get away that easy. What fools." He raises his arm, aims his index finger at them, and prepares to shoot.
