*In Narrator's Voice* Previously on Dragon Ball Z! After the Ginyu Force arrived, Gohan and Krillin allied with Vegeta so neither Frieza nor his men can get a hold of the Dragon Balls. However, after a little dispute, the Ginyu Force catches up with our heroes, and Vegeta and Captain Ginyu takes the Dragon Balls back to Frieza while his men are left to deal with the group. After an intense game of rock-paper-scissors, it was decided that Guldo would take on Gohan and Krillin. Using his ability to stop time, Guldo tries to fight them but they prove too much for him so he uses a paralysis trick which freezes Gohan and Krillin in place. He was about to kill them until, suddenly, Vegeta came to the rescue and disposed of Guldo. Now, he's up against Recoome, today!
After Guldo's death, only four of the Ginyu Force remain but each is as strong as the last. Now, it's Recoome's turn to fight, he slowly walks towards and tells him, "My turn, Vegeta, what do you say? Let's do this thing. Your little friends can play too. Come at me all at once if you want, I don't care. Those cheap tricks you used on Guldo aren't going to work on me." Jeice replies, "Hey, easy, Recoome! Don't go killing them all off yourself! We get the two runts, remember?" Krillin replies, "Jerk!" Gohan replies, "I hate these guys!" Recoome replies as he makes a weird pose, "Now! You'll! Feel the power! Of! Recoome!"

Vegeta then charges up his power which can be read by the Ginyu Force's Scouters. Jeice asks, "Hey, Burter, you reading what I'm reading? Looks like Vegeta's power level just shot up by over 30,000." Meanwhile, Vegeta finishes powering up and charges at Recoome and punches him in the face.
