Have you ever think what would happen after your married to the love of your life? Actually I have,I've wondered how many kids would we have? What should their names be? Or maybe how long will our marriage last? Will we suddenly lose the spark that we once have?
All of this will always pop out in my head, but I chose to ignore it. for I believe that if we have faith and believe that our relationship is strong enough then nothing could break us apart. Not a tornado, tsunami,or anything for that matters (except for God the Almighty)
So back to the main point. Keeping a relationship strong is not easy as stirring eggs. Even thought we've been together for about 4 years. We had our ups and downs. everyone does.
I think the most important thing in a relationship is trust. I know so,cause I've always trust Finn that he wouldn't fool around with girls or sleep around with hookers.
"Hey Jen" Amy my favourite barista greet me as I walk into my favourite coffee shop 'Lil Coffee'. I know what your thinking. They may have a weird name but the coffee is like you went to heaven once you take a sip of it.
" Hey there Amy. How's my favourite barista" I greet her back. We're friends but not those super-close-friend-where-I-tell-you-my-deepest-secret but we're kinda there.
I work as a journalist. I'm more of a person that likes to associate with people around me. I like to talk very much. If you give me a whole day,a stage,a microphone(without microphone is also ok) and an audience believe me I can talk about everything.
"So let me guess you want your regular. 1 mocha latte and 1 cappuccino." see she understands me so much.
"Yes please" I said giving her my biggest smile. But actually it looks more like I'm trying to open my mouth as wide as possible.
After getting my coffee I walk to the car where Finn is waiting in the car for me. We would do this every morning before going to work. It's like our little routine we do before going to our work.
Finn became a CEO a few months after our engagement. He works for his grandad's company which has been passed down to his dad and is now passed down to him. It's a family business.
I feel so proud for him. But he's mostly busy so I would probably go to lil coffee and chill with Amy or Paige and some other friends. It seems like I have no other friends.
"Here you go"giving Finn his cappuccino.
"Thanks babe" Finn said giving me a peck on the cheek. After for this long he still could make my stomach erupt like a volcano. Which I think cause the whole zoo in my stomach to go chaos.
Finn would normally drop me off to work before going to his company doing whatever CEO's do.
Before getting out of the car I kissed Finn and said goodbye. Walking into my company and feeling the cool air-conditioner.
Walking to the elevator and pressing the up button I stood there slowly waiting for the elevator to open. When the door of the elevator opened I walked in and just as the the door was about to close I heard someone yelling hold the door. I quickly pressed the button and standing there was a new person that I've never really seen. He was a feet taller than me,muscular like Finn and has that vibe that says I'm-a-boss-material-but-a-friendly-one.
When he got in the elevator we just stood there in silence. Since both of us are going to the top floor.
"Hey I'm Justin" he broke the silence off by introducing hisself and extending his arms. Me being the polite person I am shook his hand and smiled.
"Hey Justin. My names Jenna but you can call me Jen."
"So your a journalist eh?"
" Yeah. What about you? What brings you here?"
"Don't worry. You'll find out pretty soon" he said giving me his million dollar smile. But he can't compete with Finn's billion dollar smile.
Then the elevator door open and we both walked out.
"Hey I'm gonna go to the bathroom. I'll maybe catch up with you later k?" I said quickly walking to the toilet cause I could feel my bladder exploding any moment now.
"Ok" there it is again folks his million dollar smile. He should really stop smiling infront of me.
After finishing up my small business in the toilet and walking to my desk and finishing up some of my paper works.
"Hey Jen! Omygosh did you see our new boss? I mean he's a fine lil fella isn't he?" Abigail my colleague came up to me with her enthusiastic attitude she always have.
"Wait hold up a minute. What do you mean our new boss? Since when was mr-I'll-fire-you got replaced?"
"Wait so your telling me you didn't know that we have a new boss or were you in the toilet again because of your small bladder?" I just smiled sheepishly . I'm mostly known for peeing when I get very nervous and I get nervous all the time. "Hah! I knew it. Anyways our new boss is Dustin or was it,you know what I forgot" typical Abigail has really short memory.
"Is it Justin?"
"Yes that's his name!" Abigail exclaimed to loudly. "How did you know?"
"Well I met him earlier when we were going up the elevator"
"Omygosh. You met him and you didn't tell me"
"Well I didn't know ok. I thought he was just some visitor or something."
"Well you should've thought better" Abigail said while putting her hands on her hip as a sign of not liking me knowing something and not telling her beforehand.
" Ok I'm sorry. I should've told you earlier blah blah blah."
"You should be" she said and punched me on the shoulder.
After that she told me she gotta go do some paper work about a famous person.
-
"Time to go home!" declared Abigail while stretching her body like she's in a yoga class. "Are you gonna join us Jen? Me,Louis,Amanda,Stacey are gonna go get some food." I just shook my head saying I have to finish a little bit more.
"Ok. But if you change your mind, we'll be at that French restaurant."
I just nodded absentmindedly while typing on my computer.
After they all left,I'm still typing furiously on the computer. Then suddenly I could feel a knock on my desk and I look up to see the same emerald green eye that I met at the elevator.
"You do know that everyone went home right?" He asked cocking his eyebrows at me.
I just laughed and said "I have this thing" I don't know why but I feel nervous when he's near me.
"What thing?" He said giving me that lopsided smile. Is it wrong to feel attracted to your new boss.
"It's just that if I haven't finish my report on something, I'll feel like I need to finish it. So that's why I'm here burning the midnight oil" he just chuckled. "what's so funny" I asked cocking me head to the side pretending to give him a serious face.
"Well for starter. I've never seen anyone so persistent in doing something. I mean people would be at home doing their own things. But you would try to finish everything before going home. I really like that in a journalist. Plus isn't there anyone at home waiting for you?"
"Well my husband would normally wait at the parking lot for me until I come down. He's a very understanding husband so he doesn't mind to wait" remembering the last time I finished my report at 1 am and I came down seeing Finn sleeping in the car made me feel bad for him. Looking at the time it's 11:54 pm so I decided that maybe I can finish it tomorrow. I wouldn't want Finn to wait all night for me "You know what,i think I have to go now. my husband is probably waiting for me."
"Me too." So we walked together and had small talks about the company and how things are going.
When I went down disappointment washed over me when I don't see Finn's car anywhere.
"So where's your so-called husband?" I was so shock and sad that I forgot Justin was beside me.
