"Where have you been young lady?!" Abigail said crossing her arms with a stern face like how a mother would look at their child after finding out they drew on the white walls with crayons.

I sipped on my coffee while looking at her unfazed. I put my cup down and said "What have you been doing lately huh?" I questioned back giving her my sly smile indicating I know what she did last night

"What?" she asked creasing her eyebrows in confusion "Nothing" she clarified

"Really? Are you sure you did nothing last night?" giving her a knowing look. She was slowly trying to digest my words then I guess something clicked in her mind when her eyes looked as if they were about to pop out. Then slowly her face turned crimson red "Now you know what I'm talking about right" I said as my smirk grew even wider

"Oh gosh" covering her face with her hands "but I didn't hear you come in and I thought you weren't gonna come home cause you told me you'll be home by 5pm,then I waited for hours"

"So you had company while I wasn't at home then?" Her face looked like as if she couldn't take the embarrassment. I gave her a wink "don't worry. Your secret is safe with me"

"You better" she added while pointing her finger at me. I put my hands up in surrender "okay okay. My lips are sealed"

"Good" she smiled "but seriously, where were you yesterday?"

"Nowhere.... Everywhere... Anywhere... Here and there" I shrugged "so.....about your friend yesterday"

"What?" She looked annoyed because she knew I was trying to change the subject

"When am I gonna meet him? I can see you really like him"

"We will see" she said

"What do you mean 'we will see'?" I gave a dumb face when I mimicked her words

"For the perfect time" she glared at me then gave me a stern look "Now that I've answered your question,it's your turn to answer me"

"Pfft... That's not even a logical answer. I mean it's not specific enough" I said defensively

She continues to stare me down and I stare back at her but I know I'm gonna lose. I sighed in defeat because I know I couldn't avoid her question anymore. It was better to just put it up in the open. She might know how to help me solve my case.

"I wasn't ready to go home yet...." I didn't need to tell her the reason why because she just nodded her head saying she understand what I mean. It's really good to have a best friend who knows what you're thinking "while I went to the coffee shop to escape reality another problem came my way. I swear sometimes I attract troubles"

"Tell me about it" Abigail said sarcastically giving me her eye roll

"Owh shut up and just listen," she stiffen a smile and asked me to continue

So I told her everything and she just sat there nodding her head. After telling her the whole story, she just stood there slowly stroking her chin like she had a beard. "How do you feel?"

"That's the problem!" I said agitated "I feel so confused and just when I thought I could keep my emotions intact then something came up and they start to explode all over the walls"

"What am I suppose to do Abs?" I asked covering my face in frustration. She came to my side and gave me a hug slowly stroking my hair.

"There there" she said still stroking my hair as I lean on her shoulder "you'll figure a way. I'm sure of it. You always have a knack to solve problems"
