Hange follows me around throughout the entire day, marking notes in her journal.
"How am I any different from other humans?" I finally confront her. "Why do you need to look at my naked body?"
"For science!" she exclaims. "And Commander Erwin wants me to pay close attention to your actions, in any case that you're trying to escape." She adjusts her glasses.
I pull my Scout Regiment jacket tighter around my torso, the air becoming more bitter as the day goes on.
"Yeah, well, I don't have family to run to now. You're all stuck with me."
I watch Eren tame his long, brown hair back into a bun. He balances his weight throughout his body and starts testing out the new ODM gear. Hange upgraded the thunderspears. Now they have a bigger explosion that can blow off the entire head of a titan while giving the gear more gas for faster velocity.
Eren and Armin are the test subjects since they can transform if anything were to malfunction.
The tall man with a horse-like face whistles.
"Looks it's Levi's girlfriend!" Jean shouts.
The other cadets turn their heads and snicker under their breath. I take out one of the swords from Eren's gear and chuck it at Jean, barely missing his ear. That shuts him up immediately. This time Hange is the one laughing.
She pats my back. "You fit in just fine here."
. . .
I play around with the carrots in my soup.
Sasha and Connie are arguing about which type of food is the best. Jean, being the kind of person who likes to impress Mikasa, steps in and separates them from creating a fist fight. Mikasa just gives him the other cheek.
"The ODM gear is coming along quickly. We should be starting our journey for Marley in no time," Eren says. We all look at him like he's spoken in some foreign language.
"We are far from travelling," Erwin cuts in. "We need armor, advanced weapons, and a lot more skills before we can go anywhere." He walks over to the table and glares down at me. "We may have a serial killer on our side, but, even then, we have no idea what to expect from the other side. We must assume they are fully aware of our plan, and are gathering a group of powerful beings."
Eren seems pissed off by his answer, and storms out of the dining hall.
"Eren-!" Mikasa chases after him. Armin follows the two.
The commander places a hand on my shoulder, pats it a few times, then goes back to Hange's side.
"Are you going to eat that, or let it go to waste?" Levi's voice startles me.
It takes every ounce in my body for me to not jump into his arms.
Wait...
Why do I want to do that? Sure, I love the man, but we've only known each other for a short amount of time. It's not like we're a married couple.
Then thoughts of marriage flies into my brain.
Levi flicks my nose.
"Whatever you're dreaming about, stop it and eat up." He holds the spoon up to my lips.
"Aww..." Connie and Sasha say in unison. Jean gets jealous and leaves to find another table.
"Uh, Captain, right here in front of everyone?" I ask.
Levi shoves the spoon into my mouth, forcing me to swallow the soup.
"You ask too many damn questions," he snarls.
He feeds me everything!
The soup, the bread, he even makes me drink the cup of water.
By the time I'm done with my dinner, we're the only two left in the room.
"You're a slow eater," Levi states the obvious. I'm in too much shock to answer.
I feel his arms glide under my frozen body and pick me up. I'm held close to his chest as he carries me. My stomach has a swarm of butterflies in it.
He brings me into his bedroom, and lays me down on the bed.
"Levi, um-" He crawls over me and gazes at me with beautiful, steel eyes. "I've missed you," I whisper.
Levi gently kisses me, melting away reality. I slide my hands into his hair, and love the soft texture that it has.
His hands move from the sheets to his perfectly white shirt. He slowly unbuttons it, making every move as cautious as possible. The man tosses it next to the bed. Then he pauses, staring at my (e/c) eyes again.
Levi places his hand on my cheek.
I know what he wants.
He wants me.
He wants to be the one to take the last of my childhood away.
He wants to know that I'm all his, and he's all mine.
"I'm okay," I reassure him, "I want this. I want you."
Levi watches as I take my shirt off, revealing a black bra underneath. I then guide his hands to my back. After he unclasps my bra, we're back to the soft kisses.
He fumbles with his pants. I can tell how desperately he wants this. Like he's been waiting for a long time.
He leaves trails of hot kisses down my neck, kissing between my breasts.
A frantic knock on the door interrupts our time together. Levi grumbles, pulls the blanket over me to hide my exposed skin, and opens the door.
He stands in the way so the person can't see me.
"Commander Erwin wants to see you," Hange's voice says.
"Can't it wait until early morning, four eyes?"
"It's urgent."
He sighs a little. "I'll be there in five minutes." With that he shuts the door before Hange could say anything.
Levi picks his shirt off the ground and kisses me passionately as a way of apologizing.
"I'll be back, (Y/n)."
He leaves me alone in his clean room, half naked and confused.
Just like that he's left me again for over two hours.
